When you leave
I hope you look back
And remember,
Remember the times.
When you leave,
Please don't be cold,
Hold on tight,
To those precious memories.
When you leave,
Don't leave me for good,
Say you'll be back,
And I'll stay,
And wait for you...

Untouchable
Untouchable like a distant diamond sky, Mmmm
I'm reaching out and I just can't tell you why
I'm caught up in you, I'm caught up in you
Untouchable, burning brighter than the sun
And when you're close I feel like coming undone
I'm reaching out and I just can't tell you why
I'm caught up in you, I'm caught up in you
Untouchable, burning brighter than the sun
And when you're close I feel like coming undone
Ava-Lyn sat there, looking at him. The two were best friends and he was dating one of her friends. Of which she had matched together. She couldn't possibly do that to them. She tapped her pen against the table and sighed inaudibly as he rambled on about some football game or whatever. She wasn't listening, but she was smiling. Yeah, she was smiling because he was with her now and she knew that they'd always be best of friends. Nothing would ever change that, as long as if she didn't tell him she liked him.
"Earth to Lynnie, are you still there?" Derrick said teasingly and she snapped out of it and blushed. She blushed because he had caught her and because his hand had been so close to her, but she should be used to it.
"No, football is boring," Lynnie said as she stuck her tongue out at him, "that's why Lily's all the way over there!" she said, pointing at the other side of the room where Lily was talking with some of their other friends, trying to avoid all the sports talk.
Derrick rolled his eyes, "gosh, no need to be so mean, it's not that bad..." he said.
"I beg to differ," Lynnie teased. She knew that was all they were ever going to be, and she was going to have to accept it, they were just friends.
Derrick chuckled, Lynnie loved that laugh of his, "Well, you put up with it like how I do whenever you zone out," he said.
If only he knew I zone out because he's there... Lynnie thought to herself before giggling.
In the middle of the night
When I'm in this dream
It's like a million little stars
Spelling out your name
You gotta come on, come on
Say that we'll be together
Come on, come on
Little taste of Heaven
Ava-Lyn laid in bed, looking up at the ceiling. It was going to be a long night. She rolled out of it and took a seat by the window and looked outside. The stars outside were shining, it was beautiful. She looked at it and sighed. She would make a wish on every star if she could. As she looked at it more closely, she seemed to see his name in the sky. Blushing profusely she shook her head. It was just her. He was untouchable, he was Lily's. Her best girl friend's boyfriend. That meant off limits. But those tiny stars still seemed to form his name.
Lynnie wished she had the courage to tell him, or better yet, for him to tell her that he was deeply, madly, truly in love with her and only her. But she didn't and he didn't love her, so that was impossible.
It's half full and I won't wait here all day
I know you're saying that you'll be here anyway
But you're untouchable
Burning brighter than the sun
Now that you're close I feel like coming undone
Lynnie sighed again. The stars winking at her. She walked over to her dresser table, opening the little drawer and pulling out an old album book. She fingered the edges of each image. There were pictures of them since they were five. They were definitely going to be best friends. And now the newer one that rested on the vanity table was half empty, pictures of Derrick with Lily instead of with her and she felt a bit sad. She was sad because she was never going to mean so much to Derrick.
Still, a girl could wish. But he was untouchable, never to be hers. And she bit her lip, because if she didn't she feared that the tears might fall. And she looked at the stars. That night, Ava-Lyn fell asleep looking at the stars.
In the middle of the night
When I'm in this dream
It's like a million little stars
Spelling out your name
You gotta come on, come on
Say that we'll be together
Come on, come on
Oh, In the middle of the night
Waking from this dream
I wanna feel you by my side
Standing next to me
You gotta come on, come on
Say that we'll be together
Come on, come on
Little taste of Heaven
Ava-Lyn got ready for school. Nothing different about that. She looked at the bulletin board, it was filled with pictures of her and her friends. A lot of them were of her and Derrick though. She smiled and as she put on her book bag she touched her favorite one. Lynnie had told them all that it was the worst picture of her, but she secretly liked it. He was with her and attempting to make her mad by kissing her cheek, and she was squirming away, laughing. But that was over a year and a half ago.
With that she left the house, and hopped onto her bike. She started to bike outside his home, like every other day and stopped outside. She walked up the steps to knock on the door. If he made her late again she was making him pay for her new headphones. But there was a note there.
Left earlier with Lily. Sorry! Didn't want to wake you!

Oh, oh I'm caught up in you
Oh, oh, oh
Untouchable burning brighter than the sun
And when you're close I feel like coming undone
In the middle of the night
When I'm in this dream
It's like a million little stars
Spelling out your name
You gotta come on, come on
Say that we'll be together
Come on, come on, oh oh
Lynnie arrived at school, a bit later than usual and sighed. She opened up her locker, filled with little glow in the dark stickers. They were all stars and like last night, it seemed to spell out his name. She bit her lip and pulled out her binder and textbooks. This was not supposed to happen. Then a note fell out as she pulled her textbook out.
Going home with Lily today! Don't wait up for me! Sorry.
-D
Lynnie sighed. He really was untouchable, he'd never be hers because he was Lily's. She walked down the halls to her first class and someone hugged her from behind. Lynnie dropped her books in surprise and it scattered across the light blue tiled floors. She was surprised and she turned around, expecting someone to kill her or something like that. It was just Lily.
"Lily! You scared me!" Lynnie exclaimed as she picked up her books. Lily bent down to help.
Lily giggled, "Sorry Lynnie, it's just that I want to get Derrick a present, because it's his birthday next week and I was wondering what would be best for him," she said.
And foolishly Lynnie spilled everything. Telling her everything that Derrick liked. He liked to watch horror movies late at night, but he only watches it with people over. His favorite color was a dark maroon color. He loved football and wanted one autographed. Derrick acted tough sometimes but he was a softie inside. She told Lily everything.
Oh, Oh, In the middle of the night
Waking from this dream
I wanna feel you by my side
Standing next to me
You gotta come on, come on
Say that we'll be together
Come on, come on
Little taste of Heaven
Like a million little stars, spelling out your name
Spelling out your name
Lynnie found this ridiculous. She sat at home, it was his birthday today and he had gone out on a date with Lily. They always spent the day at the movies then sundaes when it was either one of their birthdays but it was different now. She hugged her pillow, wishing it was him she was hugging. She sighed. She was so foolish. It was now nine PM and he promised to call when he got home.
Ava-Lyn picked up her phone, fingers trembling as she punched in his number, the one she had memorized by heart. She held the phone to her ear, and with each ring her heart raced faster.
"Hello?" a voice asked. Derrick's voice.
"Iloveyoubutyoudon'tlovemeanditsalrightbecauseyou'reuntouchable," Lynnie blurted out, unable to hold it in any longer and she hung up right away, wondering how stupid she could get.
A moment later her phone buzzed with a new text.
I love you too, but as a sibling
-D
He broke her heart once and for all. It was because he was untouchable, he wasn't hers and never going to be.
[Have You Heard?] Prologue
Have You Heard?
Prologue- Tori Wayland; unknown
--
"I heard she was there because she murdered someone!" one kid exclaimed excitedly, a mixture of fear and awe.
Tori Wayland, a girl who was misunderstood. People call her a murderer, some call her crazy. But she's not. She's a normal girl, if only you could see that too. So she stands at the entrance way. Boarding school, her face shows no emotions but she hates it here. Her black suitcase at her side, it's a monogrammed LV one, a distressed leather jacket and a pair of torn jeans. Her black combat boots were laced up to her knees, and one look at her made you feel scared. She had a menacing look in her brown eyes as the students stared at the raven haired beauty. They're talking about her, yet they don't know her.
So she makes her way, she rolls her suitcase towards the school. 'She's going to kill us' some kids whisper, that's what they all say. If only they knew her for who she really was. If only you cared enough to get close to her. But you don't and now you're wondering who this girl is again. Well... this girl is Tori Wayland, and Tori Wayland is me.
