The Love Bet: Part 9 ♥

THe Love Bet; PArt Nine
--

"Your brownies looks flat," Victor said dryly.
"And your brownies are harder than bricks," Mariete laughed as they tried each other's brownies.

THey left Culinary to find out that they had the same gym periods. MAriete and Victor parted ways to get to the locker room, and then was immediately swarmed by Helena.

"Ohmigosh," Helena squealed.
"Hey," Mariete greeted as she slipped out of her torn jeans and Juicy hoodie and slid her blue shorts and white shirt on. MAriete tied her hair into a ponytail and looked at Helena.
"You were talking to VICTOR! Ohmigosh, isn't he like the hawtest thing after DErrick?" Helena squealed.
"If you say so," MAriete grumbled at the dramatic change from her old friend.
"So what was your old school?"
"Two years ago, i came to a school near here, last year i was all the way on the other side of the continent," MAriete confessed.
"I see, c'mon, you don't want to be locked out of the gym," Helena giggled as she grabbed MAriete's hand and dragged her to the gym.

Helena jerked on MAriete's arm violently as they bound down the stairs to the gym. When they were down, some boys were shootign some baskets while the girls were giggling and pointing at the "hot" boys. MAriete rolled her eyes then started to stretch.

"Mariete, what are you doing?" Helena huffed.
"I'm stretching."
"Whatever in the world for?" Helena sighed.
"To play basketball," MAriete said it simply.
"Why?!!? You might break a nail!" Helena gasped.
"Eh... I cut them off yesterday," MAriete smirked as she got up from a stretch and walked towards the court.
"MARIETE!" Helena screeched as Mariete ignored her and walked up to Victor.
"Any room for one more?" Mariete smiled.
"You play?" Victor asked incredously.
"Not much," MAriete confessed.
"Well then let's go!" Victor smiled as he tossed her the ball.

AFter two thirds of third period past, MAriete jogged quickly to the locker room and showered quickly then changed back into her jeans and hoodie. MAriete bent down to tie the laces on her converses when Helena came up.

"What were you THINKING?!? Playing BASKETBALL?" Helena screeched.
"Mhmm..." Mariete mumbled as she tied her right shoe then her left.
"IT is utterly DISGUSTING!" Helena yelled.
"Who are you to make MY decisions?" MAriete snapped as she slung her backpack onto a shoulder.
"I am your FRIEND!" Helena yelled in disbelief.
"No, you were my friend, two years ago, and now, you've become a b---h! I can't believe you've changed so much," MAriete said sadly leaving a very confused Helena behind to put two and two together.

True To My Heart; a Love Story

Continuation to The Day You Went Away, kind of like an endlogue (according to batya it's epilogue but i don't care) story thing :o
--
Recap:
Kristy: Grace, you either have to let go, or forgive him, you love him, you can't let this slip away.
Grace: Then what do i do?
Kristy: THat's your choice, and I know that you'll make the right one.

All of this was the chaos you started. After the day you went away. After all those memories, after everything. IT hurt to see you gone. But i had to make my choice and I was going to make the right one. I was going to set everything straight.
--

Grace closed her eyes and then opened them again. She was confused and didn't know what to do. She blinked back the tears but they disobeyed her, they fell down like rain from the clouds. She didn't want to take the risk again... IT had hurt too much.

"Grace, don't forget... you both shared the bad times together and the good times. You have to listen to your heart, stay true to it, don't always try to find out the meaning of all his words, it hurts more..." Kristy whispered.
"Who knew that you would be the one comforting me?" Grace smiled.
"I have to, or else no one else would," Kristy giggled.
"But i don't know if i can find the room in my heart for him," Grace sighed.
"Let things run its course, forgive him, and just let the river flow," Kristy said.

Grace stared at the darkness. She had made her choice. She closed her eyes one last time and fell asleep, she was determined to do what was best for her life, she wasn't going to mess up again... It was time to force everything back onto the right path, starting with love...

The Love Bet: Part 8 ♥

The Love Bet; Part Eight
--

"Hey there," a voice called from behind Mariete as she spun the dial on her lock.
"Hm...? Hi?" MAriete greeted absently.
"So, what's up?" the guy continued.
"Use your eyes and see," MAriete shot as she tugged at the locker door.
"Too bad, all i see is you and your beauty," the boy tried.
"Flattery isn't getting anywhere," MAriete said as she rolled her eyes then gather some books into her bag.
"Well then why don't we go somewhere afterschool today," the boy said as Mariete turned to face him.
"Well, why don't you leave my sight and then kill yourself?" Mariete snapped.
"Because I love you too much?"
"Puh-lease! Who are you trying to fool? You are such a loser. Gawd! Get a life, because obviously you don't have one besides trying to pick up girls with a cheesy line or two! Grow up, those havent worked since the 1600's! So Derrick, if you think you're so cool and you want to date me so bad, then lower yourself to the others! You're a dirty scumbag who doesn't deserve any of the attention you get!" MAriete sneered as Derrick flinched then MAriete tossed her hair behind her back and walked away.

Mariete walked up to her class. She had to get to Culinary before she was late, it wasn't only on the highest floor, but it was also in a completely different wing as where her locker was. She scowled at the mocking grandfather clock and ran down the halls desperate to make it in time.

Mariete walked into the classroom and wiped her sweat away. She had ran from one wing to the other and up two hundred and twenty six steps. Mariete took a seat next to a boy. She didn't take the time to study his features.

"Too embarresed to look at my face?" the boy chuckled as MAriete whipped around to see Victor.
"Never," MAriete laughed as Victor smirked.
"Why are you so late?" Victor questioned.
"Ask your friend," Mariete snapped back as she remembered the incident.
"Run in with him?"
"Obviously," MAriete said as she rolled her eyes.
"What did you do?"
"Why don't you two discuss this in detention after school for the next two days?" Mr. Rezil smiled.
"Yes sir," the two grumbled as they started on the brownie batter [Yum~].

Mariete's face flushed pink as their hands brushed as they reached for the eggs. She hadn't expected it to feel this way. She could use Victor to make Derrick jealous. The plan was going to be soon. And MAriete was determined to make Derrick regret ever treating her that way...

Sorry for not updating this story sooner ^^"". I kinda forgot about it and was having writer's block for that particular story. but now I have an idea.
For part 1 and 2 click that link -> http://xD3vILxGRLx.blogspot.com
Do not forget that it is in Grace's P.O.V.

Grace: Stop jumping on the bed, you're not five anymore!
Kristy: Live your life crazy -jumps up and down on the bed-
GRace: You won't have a life to live if you die! -glares-
Kristy: Party pooper -sighs as she gets down from bed-
Grace: Someone has to be mature considering the fact that you don't act your age.
Kristy: Just like you act like your 109 and is about to die in twoo-te seconds.
Grace: what the hell is two-tey? -confused-
Kristy: I dunno. -shrugs-
GRace: You're sooo stupid.
Kristy: Why... thank you -winks-
Grace: -throws pillow at Kristy- It's time to go to bed.
Kristy: Do you regret breaking up with him? -gets ready to sleep-
Grace: Life's too short too regret.
Kristy: Life's too long for you to be lonely.
GRace: Life's too short to look at everything.
Kristy: Which is exactly why you have to live your life to the fullest and experience as much as you can.
Grace: When did you become old and wise?
Kristy: When you started to breathe!
Grace: I'm younger than you...
Kristy: Same difference.
Grace: Do you even know what that means?
Kristy: No, you wanna tell me?
Grace: Just go to sleep -turns out the lights-

--
V.M.: Hi. This is Grace,if this is Jared hang up right now, if this is KRisty press 2 and leave a message if this is the rest of the world press 3 and leave a message. Sorry that I'm busy and can't get to the phone... I'll get back to you as soon as possible. F.Y.I. Jared: We are permenantly OVER!

Jared: Why did you call me and lie? You know that I still miss you? I;m sorry for everything. I fell in love with you in the end, but you haven't forgiven me. Please just forgive me, give me this one last try. I promise you that we can be happy, we can be back to normal. -sobs a little- I feel so lost without you, it was like you were the sun to my moon, and are the the world to me. Please just forgive me... Please....?

--

I wanted to cry when i heard th emessage. IT hurt so much to know that he loved me. I didn't want to risk being hurt again. But what was life without a little risk? What was life about? I closed my eyes and blinked back the tears. I was so torn apart. MAybe Kristy was right. I needed to stop and smell the roses for once. I was always in a rush, never slowing down. Life hurts.

Kristy: Grace, are you still awake?
Grace: -pretends to sleep-
Kristy: Grace?
Grace: -Ignores Kristy-
Kristy: Forgive him Grace, if that's what you want... Listen to your heart for once, not your brain. It's a risk you'll have to take.
Grace: -cries a little- I'm so confused.
Kristy: I know...
Grace: What am i supposed to do?!?
Kristy: Live your life crazy, and love every second of it.
Grace: I miss him...
Kristy: Then forgive him.
Grace: But I'm afraid...
Kristy: Life isn't a fairytale, you have to learn to make mistakes. Things dont always end with happily ever after. A friend once told me to grow up, but yet i find myself asking myself, has she grown up yet? Or is it all a mask?
Grace: I know I can always trust you...

The Day You Went Away: Over.

The end (for real)

The Love Bet: Part 7 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 7
--

'MR. Hermit, you better be faking that you're reading this because I've already said more than i should. I hate you for giving us this assignment.

Do you think she notices me though? I mean like, you're old and all, but you should have some experience, unless you were ugly looking when you were younger too. You must have dated a few times, so do you think she notices me? She started to let her hair down around him, and wear contacts. It makes her looks so different, if only she knew the truth. I'd tell you, Mr. Hermit, about it, but it is against the rules, and I still hate you,' the boy wrote as he had a dreamy far off look on his face. He hated the assignment, and he was admitting that he liked her. He closed the diary and chucked it into his bag.

Mariete walked slowly, trailing behind Helena jsut so Helena would see some of the tears that trickled down her face. 'Why is she so oblivious?' MAriete wondered. 'All the hins she needs are right there.' Then they walked into the office.

The office was sleek and high tech, a black leather couch leaned against the wall and in front of it a glass table. A smooth black table with a desktop on it was powered on. There was a white bookcase lined with books, and there were fern plants in serveral corners of the room. A beige carpet lined the area between the glass table and the desk. The principal tied her red hair back and sat at the leather chair at the table.

"Why were you cutting class?" the principal questioned.
"I didn't wanna go to class," Helena shrugged.
"I got lost," Mariete mumbled.
"Helena, you will be suspended or even worse, expelled, if you keep cutting classes, as for you Ms.-" the principal started.
"I'm Mariete Welsh," MAriete offered.
"Ms. Welsh, i never want to see you in hallways after the late bell ringsever again. Helena you have detention with me for the next three weeks," the prinicpal said coldly as she pushed up the big black glasses.
"Yes Principal Harpy," MAriete sighed.
"Whatever," Helena snorted as she slouched a bit more and rolled her eyes.

The Next Day...

"Sometimes, out my window,
I noticed that you've been crying over him,
And i wonder,
Why you just don't,
Kick him to the curb instead of giving in,
You say,
Love at first is summertime,
that's when that everything's fine,
no one ever thinks that it's gonna end,
When things go wrong,
And winter comes,
You're gonna need to run to someone,
Left alone you'll just freeze up again,
Well you should know,
When it gets too cold,
You're not alone,
I'll melt the snow," a voice sang as Mariete walked down the halls early in the morning to hide in the library before classes started.

Mariete wondered about the music and turned around slowly. She followed the sound of the music and turned a corner to hear the music come from the band room. She opened the door a tiny bit just so she could see who was there. As she squinted to see, she couldn't make out the figure there. She opened the door a tiny bit more.

"IS there someone at the door?" a voice asked.

MAriete turned on her white converse hightops and ran. She fled to the library where she scrambled up the ladder to read the diaries. She had read a few more entries of this person's diary after school. She was intrigued. Who could this mystery girl be? And why couldn't he say what he wanted to say?

'This diary thing sucks, didn't you know that?'

That was the end of an entry. MAriete glanced at the date and noticed the date for the first time. The date on it was the day after she left. THe diaries must've beem there for about a year, or so. THe diaries must've been from MR. Hermit's ELA class. MAriete had Ms. Gameze for ELA in that year. She closed the book shut and checked her watch. There was twenty more minutes. MAriete grabbed her bag and started to leave the library and towards her locker.

The Love Bet: Part 6 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 6
--

'I saw her walking down the street and she was by herself. It looked like she was lost. I wanted to go comfort her, but my "friend" walked right up to her and hugged her. Suddenly she was happy again. I hate you, Mr. Hermit Crab, why are you so cruel? What are the points of these? So you can blackmail us when we grow old and famous while all your hair falls out- opps, your hair has already fallen out. And Life must go on,' the boy wrote as he breathed a sigh of relief.

Mariete walked up the stairs slowly, and soon reached her class. The teach Mr. Hermes or something was going to be mad at her. Mariete hasnt walked in the halls for a little over a year. She hasn't been in the halls since the end of the love bet. Mariete sees Helena, who is leaning against the wall, giggling and texting someone. The girl sips her can of Diet Coke from the vending machine and then turns to see MAriete.

"Hey girl, you're so going to be at the party right? I mean like, the party would be sooooo awesome if you were there!" Helena giggle-squealed.
"Um... I'm not sure, i might have plans, because my friend from back home said that she might be coming over to visit or something," MAriete winced.
"Oh, no problem, you can bring her too," Helena compromised.
"Helena, and you! Go to my office right now," Principal Harpy schreeched.
"Gawd, my day couldn't get anymore worst!" Mariete snarled in frustration as she threw her hands up in the air.
"Get used to it, they used to hand out detentions, but no one showed up for them," Helena giggled.
"Ew..." Mariete said as she wrinkled her nose and flipped her hair over her shoulder.
"So of all the schools, why did you choose this one?" Helena whispered.
"Memories," Mariete said blankly.
"Oh, of what?"
"Old friends," Mariete sighed.
"I used to have this friend, her name was Mariete too. She was dating Derrick, and i was really happy for her, but then i found my shot at love and she didn't do anytihng about it, so i changed, and i think i like the new me, don't you think? I used to be a geeky nerd type, i mean like, those types of girls should be banned from the world!" Helena replied as she rolled her eyes.
"Um... that's interesting," Mariete struggled.
"But she was like, so outdated, so, who cares," Helena shrugged as if it was something she did everyday.

Mariete's heart felt like it was ripping into little shreds and being stabbed for some and the others stomped on. Her heart felt heavy, like it was weighing her down and tears threatened to fall from her eyes. Mariete tossed her head back attempting to make the tears leak back inside, but it didn't, instead a single one fell from the corner of her eye.

"Are you okay?" Helena asked with concern.
'No, i am not okay,' MAriete thought but her mouth said, "Yea, never been better."
"Oh, okay," Helena shrugged.

Who knew that the truth about friendship hurt so much?

The Love Bet: Part 5 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 5
--

"Did you see that new girl?" Derrick asked as he studied his reflection.
"Yea..." Victor said roboticly.
"She's is effin' hot!" Derrick exclaimed as he mused his hair a bit.
"She looks familiar," Victor said quietly.
"It doesn't matter, a girl never resists my charms," Derrick smirked.
"Funny, that's why she turned you down this morning?" Victor smiled as he stiffled a few chuckles.
"Shut up," Derrick snarled as Victor leaned against the wall.
"Why? You can't get the girl to fall heads over heels with you?" Victor laughed.
"Since you're quite the looker, why don't you make her fall in love with you?" Derrick sneered.
"I don't make girls fall in love with me, that's disgusting," Victor said in disgust.
"If you can make her love you, then I'll give you four hundred dollars," Derrick offered.
"Fine, it's a deal," Victor said reluctantly as he shook hands with Derrick.

Mariete climbed down the ladder and made herself comfortable. She blew on the dusty cover and saw some gold lettering. She turned the pages and her eyes landed on her name.

'This diary thing is stupid, what's the point of it anyways? It's like, teachers have nothing better to do, so they decided to know about our personal lies. God... they have no f--king life. Mr. Hermit, get a girl instead of reading about ours. Although there is one girl... She's really pretty, at least in my eyes, she's not that tall and is currently dating my best friend. Too bad... sometimes I find myself staring as she walks, she started to leave her hair down, but it looks better in the messy bun. Her green eyes are always lighting up at something she finds. I'd write more, but I know you're reading this Mr. Crab, so you can just go screw yourself.' the boy chuckled as he wrote in the bound book.

"Yo, we gotta go dude," a voice called as the boy shut the assignment and chucked it into his bag.

Mariete stared at the slanted handwriting for a while then closed the book. She slowly got up from the chair and dusted off the white pleated skirt she was wearing and grabbed her bookbag. She checked her diamond watch and sighed. ELA would start in ten minutes. She climbed the ladder and slid the book back into its slot. The name had to be in the book somewhere.

Victor grabbed his bag off the floor and started to slip out of the bathroom. He walked down the halls and turned into the staircase. He had to get to Mr. Hermit (Crab)'s class in three minutes. He ran into a girl and fell down.

"I am so sorry," Victor apologized as he gathered the books that fell out of the bag.
"It was an accident," the girl smiled.
"I should've paid more attention," Victor mumbled not looking at the girl as he rose.
"Like i said, it was an accident," the girl smiled as she looked into the boy's eyes.
"Oh, it's you again," Victor smirked.
"Yea, and 'you' has a name, and her name is Mariete," Mariete giggled.
"And my name is Vic-," Victor started.
"Your name is Victor," MAriete smirked.
"I know," Victor laughed.
"I know," Mariete smiled as she gathered her books and shoved them carelessly into her bag.
"Well, I gotta dash," Victor smiled as he ran off smiling from ear to ear.
"BYE!" Mariete called as the boy's black hair faded as he ran up the stairs to the seventh floor.

Mariete stood there as she thought about how quiet Victor used to be.
'People change,' MAriete thought, 'Just like Helena, and people's views on others change, just like with Derrick...'

The Love Bet: Part 4 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 4
--

"That girl is strange," Victor muttered as he entered the bathroom marked 'Boys'.

Mariete strolled along the halls as she remembered everything. She looked out the window and saw the same fountain from last year. It was a marble angel that stared out at the green schoolgrounds. Private school was nice, but to MAriete it felt like prision.

02/13- The Love Bet Was Made; Derrick

Mariete ran down the halls till she ended up in front of the library. She opened the door and entered. She turned and took it all in, remembering the days with Helena spent. She sat down at a table and pulled a book off of the shelf. MAriete saw a ladder and decided to get a book from high up. As she went, she stumbled across a diary, in a matter of fact, a few diaries.

MAriete pulled out one of the diaries and sat at the table...

Victor looked at the grafitti on the bathroom wall. One caught his eye in particular. The love bet... Derrick had broken a girl's heart a year ago. She was a geeky nerd, the type that no one paid attention to. Victor closed his eyes and remembered her long chestnut hair, and her green cat eyes. But he forgot her name, and she knew so much, she was so smart...

"Hey man, what up?" Derrick chirped as he highfived Victor.
"Hey, nothing much, just looking at all this shit here," Victor replied as he signaled at the bathroom wall.
"I remember that i wrote that one," Derrick said as he pointed at the few words.
"And I drew that one," Victor smirked as he pointed at the picture of a pheonix.
"I told you to draw it on paper," Derrick complained.
"But this lasts longer..." Victor said.
"Ah..."
"Remember that love bet you made?" Victor asked curiously.
"Eh... yea... i got two hundred bucks from that!" Derrick said happily.
"Who was that girl?"
"Who cares."
'I do,' Victor thought as his friend washed his hands.

The Love Bet: Part 3 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 3
--

"Mariete! Wait up!" Someone shouted from behind the girl. Mariete turned on a heel, frustrated and locked eyes with Derrick.
"OH... HI... What can I do for you today?" Mariete asked in a sickening sweet voice.
"I was wondering if you'd go out with me this saturday," Derrick smiled.
"Of course I would," MAriete feigned.
"Really?" Derrick asked hopefully.
"Go flush yourself, loser," MAriete spat as she continued to walk to her next class.
"Nice show," a blonde girl smiled at Mariete as she passed by.
"Thank you," MAriete smiled politely as she continued her way to Biology.
"My name is Helena," the girl offered.
"I know who you are," MAriete smiled as she remembered the girl.

"Friends till the end," Helena promised.
"Of course," Mariete smiled.
"Pinky swear?"
"Always," Mariete agreed as they locked their pinkies with each other and smiled.

"How do you know of me, but i not know of you?" Helena asked confused.

"We can't be friends anymore," Helena started.
"Why not?" Mariete protested as she eyed the outfit that Helena was wearing.

Helena was a nerdy girl like Mariete, but she had traded her usual no brand jeans and t-shirt for a designer pair of jeans and Jimmy Choo slides. She had on a black off the shoulder top and was holding a Prada bag.

"Because you'll bring me down," Helena snapped.
"So much for being friends till the end," Mariete sneered.
"Pinky swears don't last! Grow up and deal with it. We can't be friends," Helena hissed as she strut off in her slides leaving a very confused and hurt Mariete behind.

"Because I just do," Mariete said as she turned around, her skirt twirling with her.
"That's weird, but, I'm having a birthday party next week, and I was wondering if you wanted to come," Helena continued, oblivious to the pain.
"Um... I'll have to think about it," Mariete muttered as she hid her tears and stormed off in her white heels.

Mariete turned at unfamiliar corners avoiding everyone that was looking at her. She stormed away skipping Biology. She finally ended at the third floor girls' bathroom, and she cried. She slumped onto the green tiles and cried as she fingered at her white skirt. She was confused. She hasn't cried over Helena for ages. And seeing Helena, knowing, that Helena doesn't know Mariete was hard. MAriete regained composure and smotthed out her skirt. She turned to face the mirrored wall when she noticed a note on the wall.

'Friends Till The End -Helena & Mariete'

Mariete looked at the words that stung. It cut like a blade, but and she hoped time would heal the wounds. Mariete shuffled out of the bathroom and ran right into Victor.

"I am so sorry," Victor apologized as he helped Mariete up from the ground.
"Thanks," MAriete muttered as she took the hand and he pulled her up.
"I think I've seen you before," Victor mumbled.
"MAybe you have, but I don't remember you," Mariete lied.
"Maybe, I mistook you for someone.
"Most Likely, but excuse me, I have to go," MAriete whispered as she turned and got ready to run from Victor. She couldn't risk getting her secret out.

The Love Bet: Part 2 ♥

The Love Bet; Part Two.
--

"Mariete Welsh," the teacher called as the girl raised a perfectly manicured hand in the air.
"Derrick Kingsly," the teacher continued as a jock raised his hand and smirked.

'Could he be the same Derrick as... last year?'
'Could she be the same Mariete? Nah, she's too pretty...'

The teacher continued to call off the names and one by one the students' hands raised briefly and was placed once again at the table. Mariete looked around the room, her green eyes flashing, and her hair styled in a perfect side ponytail. Her eyes locked briefly with Derrick's green ones and she suddenly grew interest in the sequin on her blue tank top. All the memories rushed through her mind of that one day.

She remembered that day when she left, the day after the break up, the day after the bet was finished.

"I don't like you. I never liked you," a boy said to a girl with long flowing brown hair and sharp green eyes.

"It was all for a bet, and the bet is over, so now, i can start hating you again," the boy smirked as he walked away not knowing that he had trampled over the girl's heart.

She remembered al lthose things, she remembered once being in love. But maybe the one she loved was still out there. The girl gathered all the books on her desk and shoved into her bag carelessly, unlike the girl from last year who was organized, who cared about every single piece of work. The girl changed, she started to notice things, and she noticed that love might not be what was for her.

"Will you go out with me?" a raven hair boy asked.
"Do I even know you?" Mariete sneered at the blushing boy.
"Yes, I'm in your class," the boy smiled.
"Funny, I can't seem to remember your name," Mariete said sarcastically as she rolled her eyes.
"IT doesn't matter, so, will you go out with me?" the boy smirked.
"No," Mariete said flatly as she turned on her silver flats and walked out the door.

Love wasnt for her, she was afraid of getting hurt. She was so busy focusing on a way to get revenge that she hadnt noticed Victor, Derrick's best friend, staring at her intently as if he knew something. Mariete prayed silently that no one recognized her. She prayed that if her plan worked, Derrick would be begging at her feet. With a satified smirk, the bell rang and she grabbed her book bag, and walked out into the halls.

Mariete was back, now new and improved. No longer the geeky nerd she was, she was a proud girl, who knew she was better than the rest. She wasn't going to let love get to her this time.

To be Continued.

The Love Bet: Part 1 ♥

The Love Bet; part one.
Dedicated to my friend Ying who is pestering me about making this.
and it is related to my old story (a love story) based on the same idea, except, im going to fisnish this story. :D
--

"I don't like you. I never liked you," a boy said to a girl with long flowing brown hair and sharp green eyes.
"Then why did you say all those things? Why did you lie to me?" the girl cried as a tear fell down her face.
"It was all for a bet, and the bet is over, so now, i can start hating you again," the boy smirked as he walked away not knowing that he had trampled over the girls heart.
"You'll be sorry," the girl hissed as she wiped the tears away and tied her hair up into the normal sloppy bun. She slipped on her glasses and stared at the autumn leaves twirling. "You better watch oput, because before you know it, you'll be gone..."

The girl's phone rang a sad, sweet melody and the girl picked up the phone. She looked at the caller ID and saw her mother's face and flipped it open.

"Hello?" the girl asked.
"Mariete, we have to go tomorrow so don't forget to pack," her mother's worried voice said.
"I know, and i can't wait," the girl whispered as she slammed the phone shut and walked towards her home. She was leaving and she couldn't wait...

Now, the girl is back, and the girl has grown more mature. But after the year of being away, she has learned that no one should ever mess with her. Not even him. Derrick should be afraid. But he wasnt, he didn't remember Mariete, but maybe it was for the best. And Mariete is going to make sure he regreted hurting her, and breaking her heart. IT was all because of the Love Bet, and he was going to wish that he never agreed.

Mariete's brown hair swirled in the wind and her eyes flashed green. A smirk was on her face and a rose in her hand. MAriete sniffed the rose and remembered him. He was going to be so sorry, he was going to have to pay.

Poetry [Changing]

Changing my stripes,
And becoming someone new,
Shedding a new skin,
Growing up,
Being more mature,
Or maybe even less,
I don't know what else to do,
Except to go with the flow,
MY confidence has gone,
And all that's left is a shell,
And I'm changing way too fast,
Everything's a blur,
And I don't know what to do,
But I'm changing,
Changing everything.

Poetry [In the Dark]

In the dark,
All this time,
Not knowing anything,
You claimed to me,
That it'd be eternity,
But it wasn't true,
And I hoped that it would've been,
But each word you said,
Cut like broken glass,
And you left me in the dark,
Wondering if it was all a lie,
Or if any was the truth,
And here I am in the dark,
Wishing you'd tell me the truth.

Poetry [Ending Up In Love]

I went around the world,
To find someone like you,
To find someone as simple and as caring,
But still a bit daring.

I searched the seven seas,
And climbed all the mountains,
With you by my side,
Everything was always fine.

I looked around the world,
Did everything i had to,
I did it because,
I ended up in love.

Poetry [Empty]

I want to cry,
But the tears are all locked up inside,
I want to laugh,
But you took it all away,
You took my happiness,
And now I'm nothing but an empty shell,
Hallow and so cold,
The colors in the sky have faded,
And the memories have gone away,
I wish you would stay,
And make me laugh,
And let me cry on your shoulder,
But you're gone,
Out of my life,
And it's all your fault,
That now I'm empty,
And longing to be full.

Poetry [Different]

Are you different from the rest of them,
Just because you like to play video games?
Are you different from the world,
Because you cry when things are sad?
Are you different from the universe,
Just because you're mixed up and confused?
Because none of that matters,
Not anymore,
And in this world,
No one is different,
All of us the same,
United in blood,
Because we're all special,
Not different but special.

Poetry [Step by Step]

Step by step,
Day by day,
In a daze,
And crying too,
Tear by tear,
Slithers down my cheeks,
And I stare at your lifeless face,
Star after star,
I wish upon them all,
Even if it's just a plane passing by,
I'm taking step after step,
Slowly getting over you,
Tear after tear,
Stops falling down my cheeks,
And step by step,
I walk away,
Forgetting,
But remembering,
the steps i took,
step by step.

Poetry [Try To Remember]

Try to remember,
The memories we made,
The laughter we shared,
Try to remember,
The life we lived,
The smiles and the frowns,
Try to remember,
The way I used to wish for our friendship to never end,
The way you wished for your life to be better,
Try to remember,
The friendship we had,
The way we just chilled at the park,
Or laughed for no reason,
Try to remember,
Just everything we did,
Don't live and regret our friendship,
Though you changed too much,
I'll still be there for you,
But i still wish for our friendship,
Your wish came true,
But mine never did,
And here i am hoping,
that you'll just try to remember,
Try to remember

To Wish On a Star: Chapter One [Memories]

Chapter One!
A.N.: Italics mean that it is a flashback/memory.

--

"Hey mommy, look! There's a falling star!" I squealed with delight.
"Make a wish," my mom sang.
"I wish that-"
"Help call 911!! There's a girl here who got hit by a car and is severly injured!" a man screamed out of breath.

Everyone had rushed off to see the girl. I had a bad feeling that i knew exactly who that girl lying there was. It was the girl who wanted to wish on a star but couldn't. I was terrified.

I walked out the door of my house and walked around aimlessly on the saturday before your birthday. I passed the block where we had our fight and my brown eyes darkened with sadness.

"Daphene!" My mom gasped.

On the ground she laid. Her head was scrapped and her knees cut. There was a deep cut on her right knee that extended to her thigh. On her arm was a long jagged cut that would scar if it healed. Her eyes were closed and a pool of blood started to form around her, it trickled from her arms and legs, and everything changed.

You know, I really miss you, but too bad you aren't here. I still remember my last words to you, and how harsh it sounded. I remembered the two pigtails bounce into the distance as you stormed home. I blame myself for your pain and injuries, too bad your mom blames herself.

"Mummy, why is Daffy lying there?" I asked childishly.
"Um... She's asleep," my mom choked out.
"Oh..." I sighed, but i knew she was lying.
"Honey, let's just go home," my mom whispered as she wiped a tear off her face.

One Wish, Chapter 9 :D

Here's next chapter... Its not the preview...
--
I hopped onto the bus. I didn't see Elizabeth, then i remembered that her mom drove her to school, or else she rode her bike. Then I saw a girl with thick dark brown hair sitting alone. Her eyes were a dark chocolate brown and i slowly walked away from her. She looked like she had murder in her eyes. She was staring daggers at Megan and Megan's best friends. They were a clique, popular and beautiful, but kinda stupid. I didn't know whether i should approach the girl or not. I saw the girl had tears in her eyes as Megan started to whisper into another girl's ears. I had had this heard that this guy named Mark her boyfriend which meant that the girl was Penelope. Penelope that prom queen, the "beauty" of the school. The only popular girl in the whole world with brains... I decided to find out what would happen so i approached her...

I walked up to her and looked her in the eye. She looked back at me with confusion as if i had mistaken her for someone else. Then the truth seemed to dawn on her.

"Oh, are you going to make jokes about me. And talk about the gossip because i don't give a crap to all the lies. Considering that it was me BEST friend who started every single one of them!" Penelope sneered.
"What the hell is wrong with you?! Snap out of it! Just because you got dumped by your boyfriend AND your friends it doesn't mean a thing1 Can't you see that there's more to life then love?" I screamed at her.

Tears welled up in her eyes as i screamed at her. i wasn't trying to make her cry, i was just trying to knock some sense into her. I wanted to slap her for every tear shed but that seemed a little harsh.

"I'm sorry okay? It's just that the rest of the world thinks I'm a slut, and my friends hate to death! It's not my problem!" Penelope cried.
"Apology accepted, but if your looking for a friend, they're everywhere, all you need is a true friend, so go start looking for one."

I turned and walked away. Leaving her staring at me. I didn't know why i told her that, but i guess it was because she was alone. She was hurt by those close to her.
***
"Elizabeth!" I screamed.
"What?" Elizabeth asked.
"It's going to be my birthday in 3 days!!!" I squealed.

I always loved birthdays, but this time i had someone to hang out with for once in my life. I wasn't going to be celebrating it with just my family, I'd be celebrating it with Elizabeth.. and maybe her spring rolls. ;]

*** LUNCH TiME**
"Elizabeth!!" I said cheerfully as i waved my hand in front of her eyes.
"..." -sigh-
"Elizabeth?" I asked. Then sneakily i took one of the spring rolls and popped it into my mouth. "Mmm... that tastes good... You have some hot sauce?"
"WHAT THE HELL?!" Elizabeth screamed at me and my mouth full of spring roll.
"oops?" I smirked.
"ARGH!" Elizabeth screamed as she ate a spring roll as if it owed her money.
"I'm sorry you weren't paying attention to me eating your spring roll" i smiled.
"O.M.G. Isn't that Penelope? Why is she walking towards us?" Elizabeth asked in awe.
"oh. I kinda screamed at her today on the bus. She's probably taking revenge," I said carelessly.
"Can i sit with you guys?" Penelope asked quietly.
"Pardon?" Elizabeth asked.
"I said, Can i please sit with you guys," Penelope asked impatiently.
"Take a seat," Elizabeth smirked. She has this weird look on her face that made her look like she was going to interrogate someone.

** Lunchroom Interrogation but might as well be in the police station**

Elizabeth: So why do you wanna sit with us?
Penelope:... Am i supposed to answer?
Elizabeth: Yes.
Penelope: I have freedom of speech.
Elizabeth: Those things don't count when I'm around.
Penelope: I'm sitting her because i can and it's free?
Elizabeth: Do you have any gossip? After all you are popular. So dish.
Penelope: Can't you see that I'm sitting here and not with my normal clique? Isn't that the universal sign that I'm no longer popular? -rolls eyes-
Elizabeth: Coming to you live in Crappy School News, Channel B.S.~
Me: Can you cut that out?
Penelope: What the hell is wrong with you?
Elizabeth: Everything -does a small dance, eats remaining spring rolls-

*** Lunch is Over***
"Can't you do something to make that freak baby shut up?" Penelope snapped. [wow... someone sounds like she's PMSing...]
"A. Your fault for coming to join us. B. She's my BESt friend and she wouldn't hurt me for the world. C. She's not your friends waiting for your every command. So deal with it!" I snapped back.
"I'm sorry, but it hurts to see everyone have such good friends except for me," Penelope mumbled.
"We could be your friends..." I said cheerfully [What the hell is wrong with me?!]
"Really??" Penelope looked at me hopefully.
"Sure~" I said promising [no no no no no!!]
"Okay." Penelope looked at me smiling from ear to ear.

***IN CLASS WiTH MY NEW "FRiEND" AND MY BESTiE***

"Ew... Girls, look who has decided to show up even the whole school is talking about her! And double ew, she's hanging out with B.O. girl! An triple ew to the ugly Asian!" Megan whispered loudly.

Kate, Rachel, and Megan exchanged a round of high fives as Penelope murmured something about Megan sleeping with a nightlight, Rachel obsession with her weight, and Kate's way small home.

"Hey, Pen. I heard that Megan still slept with a nightlight because she thought there was a boogieman under her bed! Like isn't that so stupid?" i whispered just as loudly. Elizabeth finally caught on.
"And i heard that Rachel was like totally fat, and she's always on a diet. That' why you never see her eating. But i once like TOTALLY saw her pigging on chocolate bars, fries, and greasy foods!" Elizabeth exclaimed.
"O.M.G! I never knew that!" Penelope smirked.
"Then i heard that Kate wasn't rich. I mean everyone can practically tell from her lack of designer clothes recently! She's like wearing the same outfits!! Even I don't do that!" I said feigning shock.

Thinking back i remembered my wish. Instead of getting one friend i got two, and realized that i was really protective of my friend. And i like that<3.

**After school**

"O.M.G. We like like totally showed them!" Penelope cackled.
"That's what friends are for~" I smiled.
"Besides, with you we can get sooooo much more gossip!!" Elizabeth squealed.
"WEll, let's make this memorable for the hags shall we?" Penelope smiled deviously.
"Lets go!" Elizabeth said a little too enthusiastically.
"I was planning on hiring a few computer geeks to make poster of them but manipulating it so it looks like they were being what they really are." Penelope smirked.
"Oh. Wow. Two evil people at work..." I mumbled.
"Stop being jealous that we're evil geniuses and your a boring old hag~" Penelope smiled.
"Penn!! Wait up!!" Rachel yelled as she tried to catch up with us.
"What do you want?" i asked icily.
"I buh-lieve that i was addressing your 'queen' Penelope." Rachel said as she rolled her eyes. Quickly looking both ways for Megan and Kate she sighed.
"What do you want?" Penelope said regally as her brown locks danced swiftly in the wind.
"Okay. so here's the thing. I dont like the way Megan and Kate are treating you like dirt. You're like my IDOL! " Rachel said.
"Quit the sweet talk and get to the point." Elizabeth cut in.
"Okay. So i wanna join your side." Rachel said hopefully.
"Why do you wanna join us? It's not like we're popular or anything." I said.
"Haven't you heard? You guys are like the most popular clique now!!" Rachel squealed.
"excuse mwah? But if you wanna be here for popularity, go elsewhere!" Penelope said as she turned on her kitten heels and walked away.
"But i really am sorry!" Rachel said sadly.
"How am i supposed to believe you? If you want me to trust you, you're going to have to prove it." Penelope retorted.
"How about i tell you this: Right now Megan is in a relationship with a guy on the internet. He is 21 and it ultra hawt according to Megan. They're going to meet up this summer and hang out. Kate is going to her part time job as a hairstylist. Kate's family is poorer than dirt." Rachel gushed.
"Fine you can join only if you keep out of contact with them. Say more than 5 words to them at a time, and your outtie!" Penelope said.

I looked at Penelope. She looked regal standing there. She was a natural born leader, no wonder why so much people liked her. She walked over to the bus stop because we had all missed the school bus. Except for Elizabeth who hopped onto her bike and after shouting bye, she rode away into the distance as her dark blue book bag faded away.

“Why are you always so cruel to them?” I asked quietly.
“I’m not being cruel, I’m defending my honor. And besides it was her fault from the start,” Penelope said.
“If you say so,” I shrugged as I started to wait for the bus.

The bus finally came and we talked as if nothing had happened a few seconds ago. I felt like we’ve been best friends since forever, then Penelope asked out loud.

“Do you think that Megan is really going to meet this guy? And is Kate really poor?” she questioned herself.
“Maybe it’s just rumors,” I shrugged.
“Maybe she just wants to popular again,” Penelope said trying to convince herself more than me.
“It doesn’t matter, you have us now,” I smiled.
“That’s true,” she beamed as she got off the stop.
“I’ll see you tomorrow,” she shouted as she descended the bus.

I stared at the seat wondering why I was so nice to her. I barely knew her. But we all shared a connection a bond that won’t ever break. At least I hoped. I smiled at myself then got off the stop. It was time to go home and get a good break so I could finally review all the events of today.

I danced around the house joyfully. I haven’t had this much fun since forever. I closed my eyes and took a breath. Maybe this was a glorious start to a fun filled life. And maybe for once, I’d have a special birthday.

When it was nighttime, I fell asleep with a smile on my face. In a simple three days it would be my birthday. I hoped that I could survive the torture of school, but with my two friends, nothing was impossible.
*Three days later…* [just cux im lazii and I dunt wanna write the three boring days…]

I awoke with a smile on my face prepared for the wonderful day ahead of me. It was finally my birthday and I was grateful for the two friends I have gained in such a short time. I smiled at the posters that Penelope had placed up on the wall of the three girls. I smiled because of Elizabeth and her spring rolls. I smiled because of them and I was happy.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” someone shouted.
“AH!” I yelled in shock.
“Relax, it’s just us,” Elizabeth said rolling her eyes but smiling slightly.
“I knew that,” I protested.
“Sure you did,” Penelope smirked.
“I did!” I said in defense.
“And you also knew we had a party for you,” Elizabeth said sarcastically.
“For me? Aw you shouldn’t have,” I teased.
“Well you’re our very, extremely, awesome, kewlios, best friend, how could we not do it for you?” Penelope said.
“Well let’s eat the cake,” I laughed as I raced down the hall and into the back yard.

My wish had came true, and I had gained excellent friends. What more could a girl wish for? I sighed in content and blew out the candles on the cake smiling and making a wish for our friendship to last forever. For our flame to never die out, and I hope that like last time my wish will come true. ;D

The End….
(for now)
