Poetry [So Close, Yet So Far]

So Close, Yet So Far
--

I'm running down the road,
Everything's out of my reach,
I keep running,
I'm trying to stay on my feet,
And I keep trying,
It's still out of reach,
Trying to reach that door,
But it's never in my grasp,
It all keeps slipping away,
My hopes, my dreams,
Slipping and so far,
I'm getting closer,
And yet, it's so far away...

Poetry [Free Falling]

Free Falling
--

I'm free falling,
Tripping over the rocks and cracks,
Stumbling over my words,
All when I see your face.

I'm free falling,
You're mushing up my mind,
You're making me forget what I was gonna say,
All when you look at me.

I'm free falling,
My heart's racing,
My face's blushing,
All when you told me you loved me.

Poetry [I'm Alone]

I'm Alone
--

So what now,
Now that I'm alone,
Now that you've cleaved me apart,
Noe you're with them,
Now I'm alone,
So what will you do now,
Will you proceed in tearing me apart?
You're with them,
I'm alone,
You broke me apart,
Lied to me, faked to me,
I have no way to break free,
Now I'm alone,
You're in the distance,
What now, what about later?
You walked away,
I'm all alone,
A lonely spectator in the distance...

Poetry [Find The Words]

Find the Words
--

I can't seem to find the words,
And tell you the truth,
I'll hide it inside,
For fear of what you might say,
You can't see the little faked smile,
And I wonder if you know me at all,
I'm searching inside,
To somehow relieve this pain,
And I can't seem to cry,
For fear of rejection,
I'm trying to say,
Something and nothing comes out,
Maybe I'll find a way,
To finally say,
How sick I am of pretending...

Poetry [Stand]

Stand
--

She's down on her knees,
Tears streaking down,
Her worst fears are all coming true,
And she hopes that the rain can wash them out,
But if you'd just take my hand;
Just make a stand,
I can show you a world,
A new world,
And I can help you,
I'd stay by your side,
So just stand...

Confessions [Prologue]

[Confessions]Prologue: How To Tell You...? ♥
**NewSeries!! iWill Still be writing The Love Bet ♥ though!! >:
--

I didn't know how to tell you this. Believe me, I really didn't. If I did maybe we'd still be together instead of having me run away from you, instead of having me hide from you. I want to be with you, to have you hold me in your arms, even now, after all those lies I told you. After hurting you so much, after tearing you apart and watching you tear me apart...

That's what leads me to being here now, writing these last words before I am finally hunted down and killed. Because I'm evil. Because... because I've done something so terribly wrong and because I have harmed others... I need to finish writing this before they find me and they'll finally hunt me down and I'll be killed. I deserve this fate, I know I do. But... I need to tell you everything, tell you everything before they find me and kill me off. And I write this now with deep regret.

I am evil. I can't believe what I am. It's all my fault and the world is in chaos. Soon the darkness will claim your world too. I was so stupid, so foolish. Because I fell so, so, so hopelessly in love... in love with you...

Short Story [Tears in Her Eyes]

Short Story [Tears in Her Eyes]
** Must upload next chappie of Love Bet soon!! ><
*Comments go into the chatbox on the right side. :3
--

She looked up at the skies, begging for her tears to stop welling up and stop trying to fall. Next to her was the boy she thought she'd always love, always stay with. He was lying on the grass next to her but she was sitting, her arms around her legs as she pulled her knees closer to her dress. Then there was the sound of his phone, the ringing echoed in her ears.

"Why aren't you picking up the phone?" she whispered softly.
"Um..." he tried to find the words as his phone rang loudly, the only sound in the silent, cool night.
"It's her isn't it?" she asked as the ringing mocked her, made her wish for her to be everything the girl he loved now was.
"I-," he tried again, but the ringing stopped, and he stopped as well.
"Call her back, it's alright with me," she said as she avoided his brown-eyed gaze.
"Are you sure, Liz, I don't have-," he started.
"Dan, just go, just... go call her back," she finally managed to say as he got up from the ground and walked a little bit away, just so that she was out of ear shot.

She didn't want to cry, he knew that. He saw the green eyes of hers glistening in the moonlight, but he didn't want to believe that he hurt her. She didn't want him to believe that either. But if only, if only he knew, if only he knew that she had loved him for real, had a whole future set ahead and all of the plans included him. But he didn't, and now, she'd never tell...

He was walking back, across the cool green grass lawn as she continued to look up at the pitch black night that was set aflame by the twinkling stars. It was a romantic scene, the trees that arched gracefully and the boy and girl there. But all love was gone, only two friends trying to hold onto their friendship as best as possible only to fail.

"You have to go, don't you?" she asked.
"I'm sorry Liz, I'll make it up to you," he promised with sorrow.
"No, I understand, you have to watch her, go on, I'll be fine," she said in a monotone voice, a dead voice.
"But-," he started.
"No, I totally get it, just go," she said as he walked towards his car and when she heard the engine in the distant, she broke down and cried.

There were tears in her eyes, every day afterwards. She walked with a shadow over her emotions. She didn't know what to say anymore, or what to do. She looked straight ahead the next day, and saw him. His arm around the girl's shoulders and she remember, it used to be me. She walked away, at least, thats what everyone thought. Each step was another piece her heart was being ripped away, each second of living without him was another stab. She didn't know what to do and he looked at her later. He looked into her eyes, and the two of them saw the same thing. They both saw Elizabeth with tears in her eyes and the ghost of the happy girl she used to be.

She walked away, far away and she hoped to never come back, but misery followed and as she walked she cried, the tears she told herself she'd hold in fell, and she cried till tears were no longer in her green eyes. Till she told herself she'd hold it all in till it was time to cry again... and she didn't know what to do, so lost and so confused...

Short Story: [iThink iLove You...]

Short Story: I Think I Love You...
--

She's sitting there, she's not that far away from him. And he glances at her every once in a while but she's too busy, she's too lost in thought. She's always lost in thought, lost in her own little world. But something about her enticed him, led him towards her...

"Miss Wilderson, please pay more attention," the teacher, who was probably underpaid or not being paid enought for what he had to deal with everyday, sighed.

Her head snapped up and she dropped her pencil on the desk. She was drawing something. She always was. He looked at her. Her face was a bright red, flushed in embarrasment. She looked at the board as the teacher once again began to go more indepth about the joys of nature and something else about Biology that went into the boy's right ear and out the left.

Daniella always sat by the window. And the boy a few seats behind her. He never really saw her face though, only the back of her head. Or maybe more like her hair. Her long golden hair that fell down in unruly curls that looked nice on her. He was staring at her, he kenw he was. All his friends knew about this little crush and soon the professor shouting his name brought him back to Earth.

Before Thomas knew it, Daniella pulled a chair up next to him and opened up her science textbook. He was confused. What had the old fart been talking about again?

"Um... so what do you want to do the project on?" Daniella said in her normal soft voice.
"What project?" Thomas looked around in confusion.
"The science project... you know... the term project...?" she asked in confusion as he remembered it as something or another.
"Oh... um..." Thomas stammered. It seemed as if he lost his thinking ability whenever he was around her.
"It's okay, we can just brainstorm soe ideas, jot it down on seperate papers, mark it off as what we want to do and give it back to each other and then decide," Daniella suggested as Thomas shrugged and they got to work.

Daniella sat down at her desk ready to do her homework. She pulled out her Biology homework and remembered the project. Pulling out the lined paper she marked off the ones she hated in red and flipped over to the back.

"I Think I Love You..."

The paper flew onto the floor as she released it and her phone started to ring. She picked it up and held it to her ear. In her normal soft voice she greeted the person.

"Hey, did you get the Biology project thing?" Thomas asked nervously.
"Yea..." Daniella said nervously.
"Can you tell me what I wrote for the last five words?" he asked.

After a moment of silence, Daniella gathered up her courage and took a deep breath. A blush on her face that no one was around to witness, and her wits gathered.

"I think I love you," she said finally as he smiled to himself.
"Me too..." he said before the two hung up.

It each left the other wondering. What did this mean now...?

SongFic: [Tonight]

SongFic: Tonight
*Song: Tonight
*Artist: FM Static.
**iReally like the song and a little plot dragon flew into my head so here's the outcome!! :] Comments in the box on the right hand side. :o
--

I watched as the rain fell. The soft calm rain, the sounds of the rain hitting the window pane as I watched it hit against the glass. A car drove by and I sighed, the lights shone in the darkness of the night and I had no idea why I wasn't asleep like the rest of the city. I closed my eyes and wiped away a tear.

I remember how we used to be together and the times we shared. I wonder if you remember about all those times...

I remember the times we spent together
on those drives
We had a million questions
all about our lives
and when we got to New York
everything felt right
I wish you were here with me
tonight

The radio played on as I was lost in thought. I pulled on my sneakers and opened the door. I forgot about my jacket and grabbed my keys before slamming the door behind me. I looked at the city streets, the rain soaking me. I ran away, running and wishing you were there...

I remember the days we spent together
were not enough
and it used to feel like dreamin'
except we always woke up
Never thought not having you
here now would hurt so much

I kept running. More memories hitting me. Can't you see? Sometimes you'd be asleep and I'd stay awake just to watch you sleep. You always looked like an angel when you were asleep. And I told you that I'd be alright when you were gone. It was such a lie...

Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up
I need your loving hands to come and pick me up
And every night I miss you
I can just look up
and know the stars are
holdin' you, holdin' you, holdin' you tonight

Why I was so stupid, that was a question that I had no answer to. I let my tears mix with the rain as I continued to run. The song played in my mind and I looked up. If only you could see. The city lights drowned out the stars. But I thought I could make out one or two.

I remember the time you told me about when you were eight
And all those things you said that night that just couldn't wait
I remember the car you were last seen in
and the games we would play
All the times we spilled our coffees
and stayed out way too late
I remember the time you told me about your Jesus
and how not to look back even if no one believes us
When it hurt so bad sometimes
not having you here

I looked around. I ran across the street. Everyone looked like you at the moment. I didn't know it would hurt like this. I told you that I'd be fine if you left me. What a fool. I stumbled upon the shop we ate together in, the one with the killer coffee and biscotti you loved. I grabbed the parking meter to keep my balance and ran again. I ran past the church you made me go to with you...

I sing,
"Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up
I need your loving hands to come and pick me up
And every night I miss you
I can just look up
and know the stars are
holdin' you, holdin' you, holdin' you tonight"

I run all the way to park and I fall. Where are you? Why aren't you here to help me up? I let myself cry, regardless of the fact that crying was a sign of weakness. I felt that wrenching pain on my heart and the rain stops.

I sing,
"Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up
I need your loving hands to come and pick me up
And every night I miss you
I can just look up
and know the stars are
holdin' you, holdin' you, holdin' you tonight"

I continue to cry though and I pull myself back up and closed my eyes. I think I can see you sometimes. And, my love, I miss you... Where are you? The stars hold the answers. You told me that I should just look up at the sky if I missed you. I miss you more than ever now. You're gone. Amongst the stars. And I know that if I were to drive out to the countryside, I'd see them and I'd know you're the one that shines the brightest.

I walked over to the slab of stone, the one that has an angel gril perched upon it and I run my fingers across the engraved name. Belle I miss you... my love... and someday... I'll join you. I look up at the sky, the heavens beyond and I know that everytime, you'll be there to help me if I fall. Because you're watching me, the stars are with you, smiling with you and I know that you're going to be here with me... for the rest of my life...

Poetry [She's That Girl]

Poetry [She's That Girl]
--

She's that girl,
The one people walk by and don't look twice at,
And she's the girl that no one see's,
And she's that girl that you say hi to,
She's the girl that doesn't talk,
And she's that girl that's always faking a smile,
She's the girl that everyone asks for help,
Because we know she won't judge them,
And she's the girl that's realy quiet,
And never speaks above a whisper,
And she's that girl,
With the cuts on her arms,
And everyone assumes she's emo,
She's that girl who doesn't know what to do with life,
And she's the girl nobody really likes,
She's the girl that's sweet and caring,
She's that girl,
That type of girl who never really has a thing,
And what everyone doesn't know,
Is that, that girl is me...

Poetry [It Still Hurts]

Poetry [It Still Hurts]
--

You've rubbed salt into my wounds,
And it hurts more than ever,
I hear you talking about your day,
And you're happier than ever,
I look up at the ceiling,
And I try to hold back tears,
But something still slips out that I try to hide,
A little piece inside me dies,
You're never there,
You're always elsewhere,
And I just want to let you know,
That though we don't talk,
Though we don't glance at each other,
It still hurts to see you so happy,
So carefree,
And I wonder,
I just wonder where did it all go wrong...

The Love Bet: Part 24 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 24
--

Do you know how it feels to scream but no one hears you? Even when you cry? That was Mariete. Her sobs couldn't be heard, her throat was getting dry from all the shouting and yelling, her shoes were scuffed from attempting to kick open the door, her feet sore, her hands were red from hitting at the door that held her captive and her eyes hurt from crying. No one heard a word though, they had all gone out leaving Mariete alone.

Mariete looked at the analog clock on her wall, it ticked by slowly, so slow... Then the short hand hit the three and the long hand at the twelve. School had ended. She waited, staring at the clock, hoping to be released when there was a rattle on the doorknob and the door simply swung open.

"Yes, Derrick, I know you're an idiot sometimes," the girl giggle girlishly, "shut up!" the girl said though she was obviously not irritated with Derrick at all, "I'll see you tomorrow," the girl smiled, "bye, I love you too," the girl cooed before snapping her phone, no, Mariete's phone, shut.
"Give that back!" Mariete said as she lunged for it and the girl held it out of reach.
"What makes you think I'll do that?" the blue eyed girl smirked.
"Who are you, and what are you doing with my life?!" Mariete asked.
"You don't remember?" the girl asked as there was a knock on the door and Mariete's mother walked in just as the girl pushed Mariete into the closet and locked it, "hey mum, what's up?" the girl asked in a disgustingly cheerful voice.
"How was school today, Mariete?" her mother asked.
"Oh, it was absolutely wonderful," the girl gushed.
"That's great," her mother nodded then looked at her eyes with confusion, "but sweetheart, when were your eyes... blue? Aren't they green?" her mother asked fearfully.
"No, they were blue, you must've mixed them up with someone else's," the girl laughed to hide her nervousness.
"Of, course, you're probably right," the mother smiled to hide her uneasiness before closing the bedroom door, "but Mariete's eyes were always green like mine... Valerie's were always blue like her father's..." she whispered to herself as she shook her head, she was probably just seeing things...

Mariete banged on the closet and finally she was released. She took a deep breath and looked at the girl, glaring at her and she clutched her chest.

"You're Valerie aren't you? Why are you pretending to be me?" Mariete asked.
"OF course I'm Valerie, you see, dear sister, you're in the way and besides... didn't you try to kill me?" snarled the girl as Mariete's eyes opened wide.
"I never-," Mariete started.
"tried to kill me? OF course you have, it just didn't work, but you see, you were almost killed too in one of your plans, so who was hidden away?" Valerie asked, "ME!" Valerie snapped, "So, you're going to be hidden away too and I'll be the controller of your life now," Valerie said sweetly and Mariete felt chills going down her spines, "You'll be a prisioner as I have, and you better get used to it, because I'm going to royally screw up your life!" Valerie smirked before shoving her younger sister into the closet and locking it, "don't worry, you'l still be able to breathe," the blue eyed girl cackled before leaving the room...

Poetry [Be By Your Side]

Poetry: Be By Your Side
--

Sweetheart, did you know,
That I will never ever let go,
And,
My princess don't you stress,
Because you're the thing that's always on my mind,
So baby don't you cry,
I'll hold you in my arms tonight,
And don't you worry bout anything,
Because I will always be by your side,
MY love don't you say goodbye,
It'll send tears rolling down from your eyes,
And don't you ever stree,
Because I'll always be by your side,
Never let this love go,
Because you're the one I want to hold,
And if you were to ever leave,
I'll hope you know,
I'll always be by your side...

Poetry [Bittersweet Memories]

Poetry: Bittersweet Memories
--
** Note: I am going to start labeling each post now for the title. Because my template doesn't show the titles and all. ;o
--

Those bittersweet memoeies,
Fresh in my mind,
Those tears that slide down my cheeks,
Are salty and sour when they reach my lips,
That sad, sorrowful song,
Plays over in my mind,
And I have no idea what to do,
Since you walked out of my life,
Your short, simple notes,
Full of joy and happiness,
Has left a hole in my life,
And mocked my existence,
And I still remember,
Those sweet summer nights,
The kisses in the rain,
And the light in your eyes,
And all those memories,
Are all so sweet,
So bitter,
My bittersweet memories,
Forever mine to keep,
AS you walk out of my life,
With out a backward glance.

The Love Bet: Part 23 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 23
--

"Hey mom, are you going to my competition next week on Friday?" Valerie asked as her hair bobbed in a ponytail.
"Have I ever missed one?" the mother said, smiling from ear to ear.
"Mom, next Friday is the school play," Mariete said as she tugged on her mother's sleeve.
"Mariete, don't be so selfish," Valerie said as she looked pitifully at her younger sister.
"It's not fair," Mariete muttered under her breath as Valerie bent down to whisper in the 6 year old's ear.
"Life isn't fair," she whispered before straightening up and walking with more grace and more poise than Mariete would probably ever carry, and as she walked, her hair bobbed, up and down it went...

Mariete woke up once more. She had all these weird dreams at night. All dreams were complicated, but in this dream, it felt so real. In this dream she felt as if that had actually happened. Mariete laughed out loud, that couldn't have ever happened, it was just a dreams.

Mariete might've thought that dreams once came true, but now, she no longer believed it. She looked out the window, little flecks of snow danced their way onto the ground like flower petals in the wind. She looked at the white snow, looking out her window, and sighed. Mariete looked at the time, almost time for school.

Pulling on the white button up shirt and the simple black tie, she pondered about those dreams of hers. She grabbed the black sweater vest and pulled it over the top, the colar peeking out with the tie from the v-necked sweater, and just the bottom of the shirt showing from the bottom. Mariete struggled to pull on the black skirt and pulled on some stockings to cover it. Mariete looked in mirror, somehow today she felt different, looked different. She walked towards the door and turned the doorknob. It didn't turn...

Marite looked at it with shock. She looked out the window. A girl was walking into her parent's car. Who was she?!? The girl had wavy brown hair too, though it was obviously died, at least to Mariete it was. The girl looked at the balcony, where Mariete was standing, and smirked, her icy blue eyes flashed before entering there at last. Somehow, without even wondering, she knew who that girl was, a little cold winter's wind comfirmed her suspicions. [A.N. I spelled that wrong didn't I?] The wind whispered her name out loud, no... it couldn't be...
Valerie...

Poetry [Don't Wanna Keep Those Memories]

I don't wanna look back sometimes,
And I don't wanna break down in tears,
I don't have a choice sometimes,
And I really hate it,
I don't wanna keep all those memories,
When they hurt so much inside,
I 'm sick and tired of it,
When all I end up doing,
Is cry...
I wish sometimes,
On the stars on my ceilings,
I cry sometimes,
And hope someone's listening,
Because I really don't wanna,
I really don't wanna keep all those memories,
No matter how precious,
And I really don't like looking back and crying,
When I told myself,
That I wouldn't cry...
And I laugh,
And I fall,
I tear up and wanna die,
When I look at those memories,
And sometimes I just don't wanna,
I don't wanna keep those memories...

Poetry [The Song Keeps Playing]

I'm walking down the street,
All the way to fifth avenue,
The song plays in my head,

I close both locks below the window
I close both blinds and turn away
Sometimes solutions aren't so simple
Sometimes good bye's the only way

And I kick up the dried leaf,
And a pebble or two,
I keep walking,
Past the dog,
And past that deli,
I walked down the grey pavement,
And the song keeps playing,

And the sun will set for you
The sun will set for you
And the shadow of the day
Will embrace the world in grey

I keep walking,
And the song keeps playing,
Two minutes pass,
And I'm still not there,
And the chorus repeats in my head,
Another minutes flies,
And the song is over,
Only to be replaced,
But I didn't cry,
No matter how much it hurt,
And I forced that smile,
And the song keeps playing,
I kick up a leaf,
And I kick another pebble,
I keep walking,
And as I reach fifth avenue,
I pull the device out of my pocket,
And type words I'll never say,
And I slip back in,
And press pause,
Wishing like the song,
I could pause my life for a moment...

And the sun will set for you
The sun will set for you
And the shadow of the day
Will embrace the world in grey
And the sun will set for you

What I thought was a dream
A mirage
Was as real as it seemed
A privilege
When I wanted to tell you
I made a mistake
I walked away

And I closed my eyes,
For a second,
And the songs stopped playing,
And I looked up,
All of that,
Walking to fifth avenue,
With no goal in mind...

The Love Bet: Part 22 ♥

"Hey mom, I got the best grade in class today," Mariete beamed from ear to ear.
"Oh, that's nice," her mom said as she mixed the batter.
"Hey mom, today the best thing happened!" Valerie smiled from ear to ear, "I'm cheerleading captain!"
"Oh, that's great!" her mom said with more enthusiasm.
"I know! I can't wait!" Valerie said contently as he dipped her finger into the bowl to get a taste.
"Mom, my teacher said I'm the smartest in the class," Mariete added as she tried to keep the attention on her.
"Mom, guess what?" Valerie said, deliberatly keeping the spotlight, "I won first place in the gymnastic competition too!"
"That's great, we have to go celebrate!" her mom said happily as Mariete struggled to steady her trembling lip and jumped off the kitchen stool and back to her room and turned once only to see her elder sister blow her a kiss and smirk.

"Good morning Mariete, how are you feeling?" her mom asked cheerfully as she smiled.
"I'm doing great," Mariete lied.
"That's nice," her mother said.
"Mariete, Victor called," her dad piped up.
"I'll call him later, I need to catch up on school work," Mariete said dismissively before grabbing a plate of breakfast and bounding up the stairs to her computer.

It was a nice morning, it waqs a nice Sunday morning. She placed the plate on her desk and picked up a piece of toast and bit down on it before going outside to retrieve her artwork. Her finished artwork. She looked at the blue sky, dabbed with all the right shades, her used paint. And frowned, she didn't remember doing any of it. Then she saw a post it note flutter to the ground.

'Sorry, I finished the picture. Couldn't help it. -Victor'

For some reason, Mariete didn't mind. She was grateful that it was Victor who finished the picture. Then her forgotten cell phone vibrated loudly on her desk and she walked over to it.

'Hey Mariete, how are you feeling?'

Mariete smiled faintly and thumbed back a reply and turned on her computer. Then her computer flashed to life and she smiled. She opened a folder on her desktop (labeled Schemes) and she opened the document labeled The Love Bet. She was going to make Derrick pay no matter what and an email popped up. She double clicked on it.

To:
iMariete.Welsh@hotmail.com [Mariete Welsh]
From: ValiantVal@aol.com

Don't you ever forget your past, I'm still watching you...

Mariete shivered and went back to typing. When her door opened to reveal Victor. She minimized the document and smiled at him.

"Hey Victor, what are you doing here?" Mariete said casually.
"Just checking up and trying to make sure you don't hit your head again," Victor teased.
"It wasn't funny!" Mariete protested.
"It wasn't, it was kinda scary," Victor admitted.
"I need to bring this down, I'll be right back," Mariete promised as she signaled at her plate.
"Sure," he shrugged as Mariete smiled and walked out the door.

Then Victor looked at the computer, there was a tab. The love bet? Victor's curiousity got the best of him and he maximized it once more. And read the whole document, eyes ripping across the page. Jaw dropping. He was shocked. And then he heard footsteps, someone was coming. And he minimized it once more and Mariete came in smiling.

"I have to go, my mom just called," Victor lied smoothly.
"Oh, okay, see you soon," Mariete said obliviously as he left the house and Mariete had no clue.

The Love Bet: Part 21 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 21
--

At the young age of five, Mariete knew many things. She only cared about one thing though and that thing was attention. Mariete loved attention, even as a little kid. But when she was young her parents didn't give her as much attention as they gave to Valerie. Who was Valerie? Valerie was Mariete's older sister, her senor by 6 years. Valerie was the best at everything and Mariete hated it.

Mariete quivered in her sleep.

The young girl hated not being able to do anything about the fact that she couldn't do anything to get them to focus on her. She tried breaking plates, throwing things, and having tantrums, but they didn't care. They scolded her lightly and fawned over her sister as her sister smirked at her.

Mariete raised her hand to hit the invisible force away.

"Mariete, you're never going to be like me, so why don't you just run away?" Valerie said wickedly to her little sister who was glaring with her green eyes as fiercely as she could.
"I hate you! All my friends older sisters are nice!" Mariete yelled at the beauty, slick black hair that shone in all the right lights, the simple flowing waves and the perfect almond shaped blue eyes that looked deadly.
"Good," Valerie said as she went back to brushing her hair.

Mariete batted the air, a tear slid down her face.

"I HATE YOU!" Mariete shouted before lunging and grabbing her sister's throat, squeezing it tightly.

Then Mariete let out a scream.

"I HATE YOU!" Mariete continued, dragging her sister with an unkonwn strength and dragging her to the bathroom which she filled with water and shoved her sister's head into it.
"MARIETE!" a voice called.
"I HATE YOU VALERIE! I HATE YOU! GO DIE!!"

"I hate you Valerie... go die..." Mariete said in her sleep, face stained with tears.
"MARIETE!" a person called and Mariete's eyes flew open, and she batted them getting used to thte light.

The light... she could see again...

[I was gonna stop right here]

"Mariete, are you okay?" Victor's voice penterated her thoughts.
"Victor is that you?" Mariete asked softly, her eyes back to life.
"Yes, it is, are you alright?" Victor asked.
"I can see..." Mariete whispered.

[too lazy, I'm going to end this.]

The Love Bet: Part 20 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 20
--

"Harold, why did you take me away from Valerie?" Mariete's mother slurred.
"Sweetie, you're drunk!" he exclaimed with realization.
"No, I'm not," she giggled as she reached towards the door.
"Mr. and Mrs. Welsh?" Victor said nervously, holding a bouquet of flowers, once again, in his hands and looking at the parents.
"Oh, Victor," Mr. Welsh said gruffly looking at the boy.
"Mr. Welsh, this is my friend, Derrick," Victor said as he side stepped to reveal the boy who was picking at his fingernails.
"Another friend of Mariete's?" Harold asked.
"Mr. Welsh, it's nice to see you again," Derrick said, shaking the hand of the man who was once his nerdy girlfriend's father.
"Harold, who's Mariete?" the mother asked, "are they all friends of Valerie's? God knows that she needs someone to talk to..."
"Ms. Welsh, we'll just go right in," Derrick faked a sickeningly sweet smile and opened the door.
"Have fun with Valerie!!" the mother said joyfully as Harold dragged her to the car and left the two teenage boys to talk to Mariete.
"Mr. Welsh, can I talk to you for a moment?" Victor asked as he caught up to the father.
"Of course."

***

"Hey Mariete, remember me?" Derrick asked smirking at the helpless girl in front of him, the girl who was sipping a cup of water.
"Who are you?" Mariete asked coldly, knowing fully well who it was.
"Wanna tell me who Valerie is?" Derrick asked casually.
"I have no idea, Derrick, get out!" Mariete said firmly.
"I'll tell you..." Derrick smiled smugly before walking around the room.

***
"Mr. Welsh, who's Valerie?" Victor asked him seriously.
"No comment," he said before opening the door and helping his wife into the car.
"Mr. Welsh," Victor said.
"Valarie, was our daughter," the older man said before turning away and going into the car.

***
"You see... you had an older sister..." Derrick said slowly as if talking to a three year old.
"I don't have one!" Mariete snapped.
"Not anymore, you don't, but what about before..." Derrick continued.
"SHUT UP! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!!" Mariete shot back, angrily.
"Of course I do, I heard your parents say that you almost..."

***
Victor walked back into the hospital thinking of Mariete. How was she now? Was Mariete feeling better? Could she see? Could she move her arms? Was she still the same? How was she faring with Derrick? Then he stopped, realizing what he had done.

"Fu**," he said under his breath before running into the building.

***
"No, I don't think I'll stop, after all, this was the reason why you came back wasn't it?" Derrick sneered at Mariete.
"Shut up!" Mariete said weakly.
"Tell me, did you enjoy making fun of me? Did you enjoy seeing my reaction?" he growled as he grabbed Mariete's arm.
"You don't know anything!" Mariete, refusing to be portrayed as weak.
"I know a lot of things. You thought you could use my best friend..." Derrick continued looking at the girl who was under his grip.
"Mariete?" Victor asked as he looked inside.
"Yes, bi*ch, tell him everything," Derrick growled, "or I'll tell everything else..."
"I refuse to," Mariete said softly.
"What, sweetie, I didn't here you," Derrick snapped.
"SHUT UP DERRICK!! YOU KNOW WHAT?!?! JUST SHUT UP! LEAVE ME ALONE!!" Mariete wanted to cry and she let a tear slip, the first in weeks.
"So Victor, do you know who Valarie was?" Derrick asked.
"Yea, her older sister..." Victor said looking at Mariete, emotions masked.
"Do you want to know more?" Derrick asked wickedly as Mariete opened her eyes and you could see the emotionless eyes, except the tears...
"No, I don't, let's just go," Victor said roughly, grabbign his friends arm and pulling him away. There was something wrong.

There was a missing piece. Who exactly was Mariete? Who was Valarie? What was Derrick talking about?
***

Mariete blinked. She didn't have to of course. But she somehow knew that there was something wrong with her. She closed her eyes and wished that Derrick was wrong. She really didn't want to use Victor like Derrick had used her. She didn't want to, but right now, it was neccesary. She began to dream, and she hoped that her dreams would lead to the answers she so desperately needed.

The Love Bet: Part 19 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 19
--

Mariete woke up, much like every other day. But today was different. Everyday Mariete would wake up, attempt to move her arms, open her eyes once and realizr she was still helpless: unable to move and unable to see. And apparently, she hated it. But like it was stated, today was different. And Mariete once again, attempted to move her ams and check to see if she could see.

"Mom? Dad?" Mariete called out hesitantly. Mariete was greeted with silence, her parents were not yet at the hospital.

Mariete let out a sigh and lifted an arm. She tried to pull herself up, and prop herself up against her pillows. And she realized something, when she yawned, her hand had covered her mouth. And Mariete screamed.

"What happened?" someone asked, it was a nurse, as she yanked the door open.
"My arms, my hands... they can move again," Mariete said in amazement as she flexed her fingers, "but if only I could see again..."
"This is great news, it means that your body is starting to function well again," the nurse nodded in approval and how Mariete longed to see even the slightest of color, or even a simple shade.
"Is it okay... if I were to walk around the room?" Mariete asked hesitantly, as if afraid of the answer.
"At the moment, I'd advise that, you haven't been walking for so long," the nurse agreed before closing the door and leaving Mariete alone once more.

Mariete moved herself off the bed slowly, clutching onto the bed in case she fell. She took one cautious step, after another, little babysteps. She took one more step then another, and one more. She continued to hold onto the bed as if it was her life line. THen the door swung open, alarmed, Mariete fell to the ground.

"Good morning Valarie," a bubbly voice said as Mariete craned her neck towards the door.

Mariete hated not being able to see. And who the hell was Valarie?

"Um, excuse me, but I think you have the wrong room," Mariete said uncomfortably.
"What are you talking about, Val?" the voice said full of hurt.
"Um... I'm not Valarie," Mariete said in confusion as she pulled herself up.
"C'mon, Val, it isn't funny, not this time," the voice said disapprovingly.
"Brenda?" a male's voice said as he opened the door.
"Harold, look at Val," the voice continued in a bubbly voice, "isn't she just beautiful?"
"Brenda, this isn't Valarie," he said uncomfaortably, if Mariete could see, she would be glaring at her father.
"Of course it is! She looks exactly like her!" Mrs. Welsh scoffed.
"Mom, I'm Mariete..." Mariete said slowly.
"Nonsense, did you and your father trick me?" Mrs. Welsh said playfully as Mariete wished she could see.
"Seriously, snap out of it," Harold said firmly.
"Dad, what's wrong with mom?" Mariete asked.
"Nothing, she's just a little tired, her friend Valarie came to visit last night, so she must've gotten the names mixed up," Mariete's father lied before taking his wife's hand and holding it, tugging her towards the door, "I'm going to bring her home so she can rest up. It's nice to see that you recovered a little."

And on that note, they were out the door, leaving Mariete to think back. Who was Valarie? And would Mariete ever recover...?

The Love Bet: Part 18 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 18
--

"Mom, can I go to school?" Mariete asked her tired parents for the millionth time.
"No, Mariete, you can't," her mother said hesitantly, afraid of hurting her youngest daughter's feelings.
"Dad, will I ever be normal again?" Mariete asked her dad.
"We hope you will," the tired father said wearily.
"Sometimes hoping isn't enough," Mariete huffed as she attempted to cross her arms once more and found that she couldn't, "I hate being me, it's taking so long too, all I do in the hospital is... well... nothing!"
"You'll get better," her mother tried.
"Mr. and Mrs. Welsh, can I talk to you for a moment?" the doctor said as he opened the door.

Mariete's parents walked out the door too, leaving Mariete in silence, and she hated silence now. Maybe before this accident, she would've liked it, it could let her think, it let her sort things out, but now, everything was set out, so clear, so simple, and all she thought about was how to get better. She couldb't even plot when she was like this.

"I hate my life," Mariete said as she wished that she could finally see, she no longer opened her eyes, for there was no need, she couldn't see anymore anyways.

***

"Even after she is healed, there might be some side effects because it states here, in her medical records..."

***

Mariete sat there, unmoving, she was sweating and tried to pull her hair away from her face, she couldn't. She hated herself for it. She felt so weak, she was used to feeling more prouder than this. She hated the fact that she was like that.

***

"She hit her head, pretty hard, when she was just five after she tried to..."
"We know perfectly well what happened," Mrs. Welsh said, holding up a hand to tell the doctor to stop.
"And in addition, she might remember all of those things... because like I said, she..."

***

Mariete called out for her parents, the doctor, the nurse, anyone. She was tired of being there, tired of going through the same thing. She felt like she had been through this before, but when? The last time Mariete was in the hospital was well... Mariete tried to think back so far, she tried to remember. She couldn't remember anything past the age of six.

'Well, I'm in 11th grade now... in 10th grade I remember almost getting ran into by a car, in 9th grade I remember meeting Helen and Derrick, in 8th grade I got my braces removed. And thank god for that, in 7th grade I remember meeting Andrea but she became a total bi*** so I'm not friends with her now. In 6th grade was when I first entered junior high and got my braces. In 5th grade, I remember the graduation, I was salutatorion, and in 4th grade I remember falling off the swings. Then in 3rd grade, my mum and dad brought me to California, and in 2nd grade I remember accidentally cutting myself with a knife... In 1st grade I remember me lying to everyone,in 1st grade I had forgotten something... I was lying about it too...' MAriete thought as her face scrunched up in thought.

***

"And she hit her head this time too, pertty hard, did you two ever tell her what may or may not have happened?" the doctor asked the parents, Brenda was clutching her husband's hand in a death grip.
"We can't tell her everything, we didn't want her to know," Harold said as he tried to comfort his wife.
"Maybe you should tell her everything about A..." the doctor continued.

What the doctor and the parents didn't see though was a boy, hiding in the shadows when he heard them start talking. He had heard everything and he left the hospital, just because he didn't know what to make of the whole thing. He was confused...

The Love Bet: Part 17 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 17
--

The sun shone down upon the hospital bed and Mariette stirred from her sleep. Her mother and father had just arrived from home. It was now 9 A.M. and Mariette had already missed one week of school. They looked at her lovingly, pityingly and wished that she was awake, that she wasn't paralyzed, that she wasn't blind. But she was, she was still paralyzed and she was still blind.

"Do you think it's our fault for not paying her so much attention?" MRs. Welsh asked her husband quietly.
"We couldn't exactly just tell her straight out," Harold replied, hugging the weepy woman.
"But if only we ad told her, paid her a little more attention, maybe this wouldn't have happened," she cried, tears falling freely, like stars falling from the sky.
"We can't avoid it, it wasn't our fault," Harold pretested and MAriete began to awake, "she's waking up."
"Mum? Dad?" Mariette asked catiously as she tried to get up.
"Sweetie, we're right here," her sweet mother's voice calmed her immediately, it was better off for MAriete to not know.
"Mum, I was dreaming, and there was this girl, she was so beautiful and looked exactly like me," Mariete told the person, she hated not being able to see, "but the weird this was, that you and dad was there too, and I was standing right next to her," she continued, "and when she talked to you, it was so melodic, and when you looked at her, you seemed to see through me and..." Mariete paused to take a breath, "I thought you guys had replaced me, that I was just a ghost, and I missed being with you..."
"It was just a dream," Harold said softly, "dreams don't mean anything in particular."
"But, daddy, that's the thing, they don't mean anything to you, but to me, they mean the world," MAriete sighed as she tried to move her arm again.

Mariete was lucky she couldn't see because if she could, she would see her mother crying, trying not to let the sound of her heart being heard. Trying to wipe away all those tears and knowing she could never tell Mariete everything. She regretted it. And Mariete was lucky she couldn't move, because if she could hug her mom, she would realize her mom was thinner and she would feel her tears when they hugged and the shakes that she was having when she cried. But Mariete wanted to see, even if all she could see was her mother's tears, she wanted to be able to hold her mom again, to be there. And MAriete wanted to cry.

"Mum, Dad, I wish I could see again, and just hug you two..." MAriete said softly before the door opened and closed.
"Is there any progress from last time?" the doctor asked as he clicked his pen annoyingly.
"No, doc, i thought you were the smart one, I still can't see, and on top of that, my arms still can't move, and no matter how hard my mom tries to hide from me that she's crying, I can still tell," Mariete said harshly, the doctor couldn't save her, only time could after all, time healed all wounds.
"I'm sorry you feel that way about me," the doctor said before recording some quick notes and leaving the room, the door shutting behind him onlyto be opened shortly afterwards.
"Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Welsh, isn't it a lovely Saturday?" a voice said a little too happy for such a sad and dreary place.
"Hello Victor, are you here to see Mariete again?" Brenda asked the boy.
"Yea, just for a friendly visit, to see how she's doing and all," Victor smiled at her parents and Mariete wished she could see that smile.
"That's sweet," Mariete's mother cooed.
"Yea, and here are some flowers for her," Victor added as he held out the bouquet in his hands, "I know she can't see them or hold them, but I thought that she might enjoy the scent and if she doesn't, at least you guys would."
"Thank you Victor, please leave," MAriete said coldly, craning her head to look at him even though she couldn't see.
"WEll, all the teachers and students also sent me here on their behalf, they want to tell you that they hope they see you again soon, and that you have a hastey recovery from your accident," Victor continued to smile, trying to forget that cold gaze of hers, "and I didn't tell them about it, just in case you didn't want me to."
"How thoughtful," Mariete said sarcastically.
"Well, I have to go, my mom expects me home," Victor lied before exiting and the click of the door closing was heard once again.
"Mariete," Harold started, "that was rude beyond belief!"
"You didn't exactly expect me to greet him with open arms did you?" Mariete scoffed as she tried to cross her arms.
"Actually, we did, how could you?" Brenda said, "He's been really kind, and he was one of the only people who visited you!"
"I really don't care," Mariete snapped before resigning and realized she was so tired, "I'm going back to sleep, there's nothing else to do anyways..."
"Have pleasent dreams," her parents said softly.

Mariete wanted pleasent dreams, but all she wanted was for her to be recovered. She still had to finish her revenge and that wouldn't work if she was stuck in the hospital bed and mad at Victor. She needed a new plan and she prayed that God would answer her in her dreams...

I Think I Love You... || Prologue

It has been 5 years, 364 days, 22 hours, 42 minutes and 37 seconds since you walked into my life...
It has taken me 4 years, 363 days 23 hours and 15 minutes and 57 seconds for me to realize that...
And now you're gone...
And I look back, wondering, thinking, hoping. Watching you walk away, knowing nothing ever happened. Thinking how it would've been if I had told you. Hoping that you'll find her disgusting and realize your best friend is the one you're looking for, the one you know you can live forever with. And I'm stupid because I was blinded, looking for something else and the thing I was looking for was always next to me. Laughing at my stupid, corny jokes, wiping away those tears after all my breakups and heartbreaks, and helping me in Math and Spanish while I helped you in ELA and Global. I was so dumb, and you were probably my brain, you ran away and now I'm numb, not feeling at all, and maybe... just maybe you'll realize and I think... I think way back to when we were still friends, when I still mattered. I was a fool... And I might... I think... I'm not sure but... I think I love you...

Missing You is Loving You <3

To Sammii:.
I know I love you because I'm going to miss you, I know I'm going to cry because you'll no longer be there anymore. I'm going to miss your vibrant personality and the fact that you are an idiot [ily mommii] and I know one thing for sure. You're always going to have a place in my heart, you've always been there for me [kinda] and I know that no distance can keep us apart mentally [er.. I hope :D] and I want you to know this: no matter what happens, no matter what you do, I don't think i can bring myself to hate you because of who you are. You play a pretty big role in my life and I hope you know that if you need any help at all, ever, I'll be there for you as you have been for me. I know I can trust you and I know [or I hope] you trust me too. The past four years have been amazing and I know half of it is because of you. Keep in touch. Don't forget those times because when everything's gone all you have left are the unforgetable and the blessings we all have but cannot count: Memories...

Poetry [Can You...?]

Can you remember,
Because i remember,
When everything was in color,
And not shades of grey...
Can you see,
Because i can no longer see the beauty,
THe beauty that was in the earth...
Can you tell me,
The words i wanted to hear?
Because i haven't given up,
Not yet...
And when i do...
Then i will have truely died,
But nothing can hold me back now,
just tell me...
Can you still love?

Poetry [Why Don't You Let Me Cry?]

When I'm sad, i look up at the sky,
I hide from all the voices,
And wish,
I want to cry,
And all my tears threaten to fall,
And when they do,
You wipe them away,
Why can't you leave me here?
Alone and in despair,
I want to be someone else,
Not with you,
I wanna be able to cry,
Without being judged for letting my emotions run wild,
And I don't even know why...
So why can't you leave me to cry?
For me to be exactly who I want to be,
I can't hide in shadows,
Forever...
So let me cry,
And regain my dignity on my own...
So I won't forget that I,
Want to cry on my own...
But I can't do that if...
You stop me everytime...
Why don't you let me cry?
Why don't you let me cry...

Poetry [I Wanna Be]

I wanna be the one,
The one you care about,
I wanna be the one,
The one who's ther for you,
I wanna be the one,
The one and only in your life,
And I wanna be the one,
Who you stay by,
And i wanna be the one,
The one you love,
Because I'm just me...

Poetry [Tonight]

Tonight,
I'll look at the sky,
And see the city lights,
Tonight,
I'll look at the moon,
And see its lovely smile,
Tonight,
I'll look at the planes,
And wish they were stars,
Tonight,
I am not alone,
And I smile,
Becuase you are by my side,
Even though it is just for this one night,
You are here,
Tonight...

-
I <3 this poem :D MY favorite one that i wrote next to the poem "Alone" on my other act. :D

Poetry [Afraid]

I'm afraid of happy endings,
Because they might come out wrong,
I'm afaid of tears,
Because I can never get them back,
I'm afraid of falling,
Because no one's there to catch me,
I'm afraid of beign alone,
Because no one will be there,
Not my family, not my friends,
And I'll cry, knowing I am afraid,
But you are here now,
And the ones i hold dear,
But when the lights close,
And I'm all alone,
I'll cry, I'll be afraid,
Because tomorrow you might not be here,
And I am afraid...

Poetry [Don't Let Me Go]

Don't let me go,
Into the darkness,
I want to stay with you,
You were an anchor,
And i was the ship,
You kept me safe on the shore,
But now you're disappearing,
Slowly fading from memories,
You're letting me go,
And you promised me you wouldn't,
But now the bright sunshine,
Is replaced with the dark abyss,
And it's ready to swallow me whole,
Please don't let go,
BEcause without you,
My life and heart isn't whole,
Don't let me go...

Poetry [So Hard To Say]

IT's so hard to say,
Everything i want to,
Simple questions i don't want to answer,
And the words all in the back of my throat.
I want to tell you everything,
But I'm afraid of hurting and getting hurt,
It's time to step up to the plate,
And take a swing,
THere's nothing more to lose,
Especially since now we don't act the same,
Especially since now we aren't close,
Nothing is right,
Nothing is what i want,
Everything has changed,
And i think only I noticed the change...
But maybe I'll find my voice,
So i can finally tell you,
But it's so hard to say the simple words,
I'm afraid,
Knowing you'll never be there,
The simple hellos in the halls are different,
They're no longer the same,
Maybe i should tell you,
But it's so hard to say...

Poetry [You Don't Know Me]

You don't know me anymore,
And you used to think you did.
You used to be the one i relied on,
The one always there,
But if you think back to the recent memories,
Was I in them as well?
You claim you know me,
But what if everything was a mask?
What if we were never friends,
just allies?
You don't know me,
Not before,
Not now,
But maybe you'll find out...

The Love Bet: Part 16 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 16
--

"Mom? Where are you?" Mariete paniced as she awoke from her sleep to see darkness. She had forgotten that she couldn't see.
"Honey? What's wrong?" MAriete's worried mother cooed.
"I'm scared..." MAriete admitted.
"Brenda... there's a boy named Victor who's here to see MAriete..." MAriete's father said.
"Let him in," MAriete said softly.
"Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Welsh," Victor said politely as he took a seat next to Mariete and the parents left the room.
"Hi," MAriete said softly as she felt her heart beat a little faster.
"How're you feeling?" Victor asked with concern.
"How do you think I'm feeling?" Mariete snapped.
"Well... you just hit your head. It's not that bad..." Victor shrugged.
"What do you know?" MAriete asked as she tried to move her arms.
"Why won't you look at me?" Victor asked in confusion.
"I CAN'T!" MAriete yelled.
"Why not?"
"My arms are paralyzed. I can't turn to face you. I'm blind
meaning I can't see!" MAriete cried as Victor looked at her in shock.

Victor was looking at MAriete as if she was crazy but MAriete couldn't see. Though she couldn't see, she felt the pity. The second Victor opened his outh again she knew she'd hear pity. She knew it was all a lie. IT was for the stupid bet, and she kept reminding herself that. She knew that she was using him to make Derrick jealous too, and she didn't feel bad for anyone. Derrick deserved it, and Victor was his sidekick.

"Are you alright?" Victor asked with concern.
"I don't want your god damned pity! I want to be me! I want to go back in time, i want you to leave me alone!! I want to be able to see, and able to move again! BUT I CAN'T AND LIFE SUCKS THAT WAY!" MAriete screamed as Victor just looked at her in sorrow.
"I'm sorry you feel that way," Victor mumbled.
"I'm not!" MAriete snapped.
"I'll just leave these here.... Get better soon," Victor muttered as he set the flowers in the empty vase by the hospital bed.

Mariete heard the soft click of the door close and she tried to think of the last things she saw. She wanted to be able to do more things then lie here and wait for death to claim her. THe whole scheme was ggetting stupid, she was falling. She was falling in love, and she was going to land hard. And she hoped she made the target. MAriete let out a sigh and felt a soft pinch on her arm then she was unconcious once more...

The Love Bet: Part 15 ♥

The Love Bet; PArt 15
--

Mariete stared at the equations on the white page. She stopped her work and glanced out the window. The sun was setting and the sky was streaked with pinks, oranges and purples. She rose from her seat and walked to the balcony in her room. She opened the double doors and sighed. The sky looked so beautiful, the clouds glowed with a light and then her computer let out a small chime and MAriete ran back in and swirled in her seat to face the computer.

Derrick_RocksxD: ur gunna pay...
Derrick_RocksxD has signed off

Mariete rolled ehr eyes at the obvious IM and twirled her pen between her fingers thinking. Then she placed the pen on her paper and started to write. HEr mother knocked on the door and MAriete continued to scribble. Her mom peeked over MAriete's should and sighed. Her mother retreated and left but came back shortly with a tray where there was a plate of noodles covered in tomato sauce. IT had a little basil sprinkled over it and there were a few meatballs. THere was a bowl of soup and MAriete sighed. She finished up her homework and slipped the papers into her bag then walked over to the table there. She took the tray out into the balcony and sat at the table there.

She sat at the white chair and looked at the beautiful sky. She glanced at the covered cansas in the corner and smiled faintly. She speared her meatball and bit into it. She looked at the darkening sky and spponed some noodles into her mouth. Mareite finished up her dinner and carried the tray back into her room. The sky was darker not. The reds and oranges and light purples were replaced with shades of blue and bordereing on black. A few stars twinkle in the sky and she just thought she saw a shooting star.

Mariete carried the tray to the kitchen where her mom was busying herself with plates. Mariete walked a little closer to the sink where she accidentally slipped and the tray went flying. She had hit her head against the marble counter and the tray landing a few feet away. Her mother ran over to the girl lying there and checked to see if her daughter was alright.

"HAROLD! Your daughter!!" her mother screamed.
"What happened?" Mariete's father asked quickly as he raced to the kitchen where the unconcious girl lied.
"She slipped!" Mariete's mother cried.
"Call 911!!" he said quickly as his wife ran to the phone by the microwave.

MAriete lied there, looking peaceful, and the world was dark to her. Her parents were worried and her mother was rambling on the phone. Soon a distant siren was heard and the body was placed on a stretcher then into the ambulance. She couldn't hear a thing and she lied there. Just lying there.

"Will she be okay?"
"She is fine... but there might be some problems. She should be awake in a few days," the doctor assured the worried parents.

Two days later:

"Where am I?" Mariete groaned as she tried to touch her forehead to find out she couldn't move her arm.
"Harold! Get the doctor!" Mariete's mother said in fear.
"Why can't i see?" Mariete gasped as she tried to look around.
"I'm sorry, but i didn't know this would happen," the doctor said apologetically.
"Help! I can't see!" MAriete cried as she reached blindly for someone.
"Calm down," the doctor said gently as her mother tucked her back into the bed with trembling hands.
"Will i be blind forever? Why can't i move my arms?" MAriete cried.
"It should be temporary," the doctor assumed.
"It better be!" Mariete snapped as the doctor left and MAriete's mother started to cry with her father holding her.

Mariete wanted to cry. But she felt no tears. She wanted to see a little. Even if it was all in shades of grey... but she couldn't see... everything was so confusing...

Random Speech Thingy...

I read this and i just had the urge to post it... lolz.
--

'What I have learned is that life is all about choices. I've made a lot of mine. Yours are still to come. And you'll have a lot of choices to make. Which job, where to live, who to love, when and if to have kids. Sometimes you will make the right choice and sometimes you will make the wrong choice. But you have the freedom, the liberty and the independence to do what you think is right for yourself'

Poetry [Here Again]

Poetry [Here Again]
Here I am again,
Staring at the same crescent moon,
Wishing on the same old star,
And getting heartbroken.
Here I am again,
Wondering if you'll ever come back,
Because I hope you know,
That I have no regrets,
And if only I could be there,
With you,
And not here,
Again...

The Love Bet: Part 14 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 14
--
'Today was a pretty normal day. I would say more, but i know that if i do you'll laugh. Apparently you don't really know me. I know where all the old journals are in the library. I also know of your affair with the li- oops. I wasn't supposed to say. But let's face it, you're a "professional" and you DON'T know what you're doing. You're just going alog with it, copying notes off of other English teachers during meetings, sleeping during reading time. And robbing lesson plans off others. Seriously, when are you planing on doing your work? And you better give me good grade or else my pictures will "accidentally" fall out of my bookbag and be lost in the halls. It's not like your really reading all of this, your only reading the first line, the middle line, and the last line and judgin it by how much we wrote. So you shouldn't realyl grade us. Just give us a 100%. You're too lazy for everything else anyways. Well, since you're such a loser, i decided not to make you read even more about your failures. You should just resign, retire, or whatever. Kill yourself... or something. BYE LOSER TEACHER!'

Mariete smiled at her work. After yesterday's two texts she started to ignore everyone else. Then on her desk, her phone buzzed. IT was so sudden that MAriete jumped out of her armchair and grabbed her phone.

'LEAVE THE SCHOOL!'

Mariete wondered who this person could be. She had been avoiding a lot of people, mainly Victor... She had found out everything after finding a note in her locker...

"I really like you... will you go out with me?" that was what the note said. Signed with his name and MAriete rolled her eyes.

She wouldn't admit that she liked him too. It's just that Victor probably figured everything out and her life would be ruined. Besides, what would happen if it was another stupid love bet? She didn't want to suffer.

At home, Victor waited for Derrick to arrive. He wanted to call off the bet. he really liked Mariet, and didn't want to go after her for a bet. HE genuinely loved her. He never used the word before. Besides, it helped that she was the same girl he was in love with from a year ago. He sighed when he realized that Derrick was twenty minutes late. Victor grabbed his cell phone off his cluttered desk and his phone vibrated.

'If you go after Mariete, you're going to pay...'

Victor rolled his eyes and his phone vibrated once more bringing Victor's attention to the phone screen.

'I'm not gunna be there till latee. So juzt txt me w/e u nded to tell me. Buzii.'

Victor rolled his eyes at the text because he knew that Derrick was never going to be responsible. Derrick needed to learn from his mistakes and Victor sighed as his fingers flew across the full keyboard.

Mariete looked at her pile of textbooks and grabbed her math textbook. She grabbed a few sheets of looseleaf and started to copy down problems. Mariete tyed her hair back and her cellphone vibrated once more. MAriete rolled her eyes and grabbed her phone once more.

'I'll be watching you... And if you go after Victor, you'll pay'

Mariete chuckled at the stupidity of the person who sent it. She noticed that the person had not hid their phone number. She grinned and clicked call. It was going to be interesting.

"Hello? This is Helena, how may i help you?" the girl's voice said through the cell.
"Helena, don't ever bother texting me again," Mariete snapped as she hung up and blocked the girl's cell off her phone.

Helena stared at her phone in disbelief. How did Mariete know her phone number? How did she figure out it was her sending her texts. She ignored the comments and turned to her computer screen.

OMGiTzH3L3NA: She figure it out. Plus, she mite rly like Victor. Wat shud i do?
____________: I'll figure it out. Bsides, there's still the bet...
OMGiTzH3L3NA: OMG! You're so smart!
____________: Nah. You're just dumb.

Victor pressed send and he sighed. He threw his phone onto his desk and waited for Derrick's reply...

MAriete sighed and got back to work. She had no clue why she signed up for all the advanced classes. She glanced at her black leather book and sighed. She didn't want to turn it in... But maybe... just maybe... Victor was sincere. MAriete took the book and wrote down all her thoughts in it. She was going to be sooo dead.

Derrick glanced at his computer screen then at the clock over his bedroom door. His phone buzzed and he opened the unread text.

'I'm calling off the bet. I rly like her, and im not gunna let it ruin everything. sry. i o u.'

Derrick glared at the phone and then turned to the computer screen. He double clicked on a preson's screen name and told the person what was happening... MAriete was going to pay...

Poetry [Broken Wings]

These broken wings will heal,
I may not be sure when,
But I'm keeping hope and faith in myself,
And i know that someday,
Even if my wings are broken,
I'll at least fake a smile,
Before it all comes crashing down again,
And I'll put up a fight,
So I know that i hadn't surenderred,
And as I fall,
I'll tihnk about it all,
I'll remembered the past,
And smile at the memories of when,
I had my wings,
And how i didn't need to fake a smile...

The Love Bet: Part 13 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 13

"About a year ago I gave an assignment to the class. It affected thir grade, it made up 90% of their grade. This year, i will be selecting four students from this class to put their project in the library and it will affect 70% of your grades. THe four students will be Mariete Welsh...." Mr. Hermit said but MAriete stopped listening when she heard her name.
"The assignment is to keep a journal, feel free to include personal thoughts..." the teacher smirked as MAriete sat there dumbfounded.

~
'So here i am, writing this load of bullcrud. It's stupid! Everyone may have to do it but why does mine have to be in the library? Is it just because I'm new? Gosh, you're so races. Stupid desperate teacher who has no life. Get laid or something!!' MAriete wrote in the library.

Mariete finished up on the very brief entry and grabbed the journal that she always read from.

'Fine! I'm getting sick of hanging with him anyways! What kind of friend is he? Always judging my actions like he's the king or something! Dammit! He needs to grow a heart! I hate him! UGH! Dammit! Now i'm sounding like a girl!! ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!! IF it wasnt for stupid Derrick, Mariete wouldn't have left!! I have no cluw hat I'm writing now either!! BUT YOU BETTER WATCH OUT MR. HERMIT! YOU BETTER WATCH OUT!!'

Mariete read that short passage and she put two and two together. This person could only be one person. After all... who else was so close with Derrick? MAriete cried silent tears, she seemed to be doing that a lot lately. She packed her bag and her cellphone rang once more... She flipped it open and saw a text message.

'I know your secret.'

Mariete felt the phone vibrate once more.

'If you know what's good for you, you'd transfer or else you'll pay.'

Mariete's cellphone dropped out of her hand and her face paled. Who could this person be?

The Love Bet: Part 12 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 12
--

Mariete tilted her tead towards the sky and hugged her knees close to her chest. She let out a sigh, and bagan the story of her life...

"A year ago, i left this school. I was overjoyed. The one i thought i loved used me for a et, and then he broke my heart. On top of that, my friend for life, decided that popularity was more important and left me a few days before the heartbreak. It was all because of the Love Bet. So many girls were hurt by it. A geeky little nerd like me couldn't resist the temptation of one of the most popular boys in school. I changed my looks, i got rid of my old wardrobe so that i wouldn't bring his status down. But i guess it was all false," MAriete said quietly as Victor listened.
"..." Victor had no words to say.
"Are you okay?" Mariete asked as she looked at the boy lying besides her.
"By any chance... was the boy's name Derrick Kingsly?" Victor questioned.
"Why?" MAriete asked not wanting to say more than needed.
"Because i think i might know..." Victor said.
"I'm sorry, but i have to go," MAriete said quickly to avoid the questions. She grabbed her bag and bolted under the fence to the school. She gave a quick backwards glance to see Victor lying there, deep in thought.

Victor stared at the clouds in the sky. If she starts to avoid him, he knew that he would lose the bet. He only had one month, but did he want her to be hurt again? She had to suffer through the bet once already, could she live through the pain and humuiliation once more? He let out a sigh as th eclouds started to move. He closed his eyes and let the wind tossle his hair. Then he stood up, classes ended soon, and dismissal was nearing...

~One Week Later

"Excuse me!" MAriete yelled as she raced to English as she slipped ona paper. She tried to grab someone for support only to drag the person down.
"Slow down next time," the boy smirked.
"I'm so sorry!" Mariete said in a rush as she grabbed all of her books and shoved them randomly into her bag.
"No problem," the boy said.
"I gottta go! Sorry!" MAriete said as she stood up and glanced at the boy. It was Victor. She ignored it and ran up the stairs to ELA only to be blocked by Helena.

Helena stood there, outside the staircase exit. MAriete rolled her eyes and tried to push back Helena only to be forced to stay. Helena smirked and grabbed MAriete's arm in a death grip. Helena dragged Mariete to the roof and threw her onto the floor.

"What the god damned hell do you want?" Mariete sneered.
"I want you to stay away from Victor," Helena said sweetly.
"Why should I? It's not like you like him or anything," MAriete said as she rolled her eyes.
"You don't deserve him. You'rea geeky nerd inside, no matter what you do, losers don't become alphas," Helena scoffed.
"Then why don't you figure that out for yourself, because then you're pretty much a loser yourself," MAriete snapped as she grabbed her bag and stood up. She dusted off her white blazer then glared at Helena. "Go talk to your reflection, I'm not the friendless one."

MAriete ran to her ELA classroom just before the bell rang. She slid into her seat and opened up her notebook. Life was so complicated...

Poetry [A True Friend]

A true friend,
Helps you up when you're down,
Hugs you and tells you everything's gonna be alright,
And will always stand by you.

A true friend,
Will call you for no reason at all,
Will tell you all their secrets because they have nothing to hide,
And will always stay strong for you.

A true friend,
Wouldn't judge you,
And wouldn't care if you're crazy,
And they won't tell you lies.

A true friend,
Will stay when it's raining,
Run when you're both joyful,
And best of all,
Just be there with you...

And a true friend,
Is someone you can rely on,
Someone you know who won't EVER let you down,
Because they have your back,
And won't ever let you fall...

Poetry [Believe Me]

Believe me,
When i say that i love you,
BEcause i have never said that,
To the others.

Believe me,
When i say that I'll stand by you,
Because i have never done that,
Or even tried.

Believe me,
Because i believe in you,
You'll find your wings,
And spread them,
Just believe me,
BEcause i love you,
And have faith in you...

The Love Bet: Part 11 ♥

"Mariete..." Helena started.
"What?" MAriete snapped as she tapped her foot impatiently.
"I know..." Helena continued.
"You know NOTHING about me. Everything always has to be about YOU! How do you expect ME to be friends with someone like that?!?!" Mariete growled.
"No it's not! I know who you are! You can't hide it any longer!" Helena sneered.
"Then REVEAL me! I don't givea flying f--k anymore! I never did ANYTHING to deserve a friend like you! I was the shoulder you cried on whenever you were teased, i was the one you ran to when you had problems! But who did i run to? NO ONE! BEcause you were NEVER there for me! You were too wrapped up in your ideas of being popular!!" MAriete screamed at Helena as tears fell down her cheeks.
"I'm sorry you felt that way about me, but life goes on!" Helena sneered as she just turned on a foot and left MAriete standing there with big fat tears rolling down.

Mariete sobbed as silently as she could as she stumbled out of the library and into the halls. She ran away from the library to the bathroom. She couldn't face the rest of the world right now. IT hurt too much. As she ran to all the bathrooms she heard laughter, so she ran towards a place no one ever looked.

MAriete ran to the pond behind the school. She ran to the side of the pond and sat there, and she ignored the fact that there was a boy sitting there, leaning on the tree.

Mariete cried silently as all the tears fell into the pond. It made little ripples and Mariete's reflection disappeared from the sparkling water. SHe turned around to look for a smooth flat pebble only to see him there, looking at her in confusion.

"Care to tell me what's wrong?" Victor asked as he took a seat by her side.
"No," MAriete said bitterly as she bit her trembling lip.
"Why not?" Victor asked.
"BECAUSE THE WHOLE WORLD IS MESSED UP!" Mariete yelled as she pulled a few blades of grass out of the ground.
"Why?" Victor asked.
"Because of her!" MAriete snapped.
"Who?" Victor continued.
"Helena..." MAriete sighed.
"Why are you mad at her? You just met her," Victor said, confused.
"No... i met her about three years ago," MAriete sighed.
"Sounds like a long story," Victor sighed.
"IT is..." MAriete snapped.
"Well, i have time," Victor said casually as he leaned back and rested his head in his arms, staring at the clear blue skies.
"And this is what happened..." MAriete started...

True To My Heart; a Love Story [Part Three]

True To MY Heart; Part Three
--

REcap:
Soon after the text was sent, Jared's cell phone buzzed with the answer. And his heart started pounding... and sweat formed, then he pressed the button and the message opened...

--
Now:

"GRACE!! YOU DONT HAVE MY SHAMPOO!!" Kristy shouted through the door.
"IT'S IN THE LEFT CABINET!" Grace yelled back as she waited for the reply.
"BUT YOUR TAMPONS ARE IN THERE!!" Kristy called with shock.
"WHY ARE YOU WASHING YOUR HAIR ANYWAYS?!?!" Grace yelled with embaressment.
"Because i feel like it! I'll be out in thrity minutes! I reek!" Kristy said.

Then Grace's cellphone rang.

'Can we meet up?' was the simple text, and Grace felt her heart flutter...

~~

"WOOTT!" Jared yelled as he jumped on his bed when he read the text. He texted a reply quickly and threw his phone on the floor as Warren quickly picked it up and read the screen.

~~

One Hour Later; At the Arcade

"WARREN!" Kristy squealed as she hugged Warren.
"Kristy!!" Warren squealed.
"THis isn't a sad story where everyone dies so don't suffocate each other," Grace said as she rolled her eyes.
"Relax!" Kristy said.
"Yes! How are you so sure?" Jared smirked.
"BEcause Sad stories don't end like this," GRace smiled softly as she hugged Jared once more, and the first time in months. THey were together again, and GRace loved being with him.

~~
Ten Years Later~

"Jared Mason Andrews, do you take Grace Herring Summer as your wife?" the priest asked.
"I do," Jared asid solemnly as he eyed his soon to be wife.
"Do you, GRace Herring Summer, take Jared MAson Andrews as your husband?" the preist asked once more.
"I do," Grace smiled as tears rolled down her face.
"I pronounce you, husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride," THepriset said as the couple ate each other's faces.

It was a love story, and the couple smiled at Kristy and Warren. THey were holding five year old boy's hand and smiling at the two. Life was perfect. Grace had listened to her heart and recieved what she dreamed of...

And now she tells the stories to others... Once upon a time...

Poetry [Reality]

I let myself get caught up in my dreams,
MAybe i should just open my eyes,
To see the night sky,
And see the truth,
That sparkles like the stars in the sky,
MAybe i should wake up,
And smile my own smile,
Because i can't be stuck in a fantasy,
When I have to face reality,
No matter how blissful i seem in dreams,
Reality will always catch up,
So i open my eyes,
And cry a little longer,
Because my fantasies don't exist in the world i live in:
Reality.

Poetry [Let Go]

Let go of all the pain you're holding onto,
Let go of all the tears,
Cry for once in your life,
Because there's no need to always be strong,
Let go of all the troubles,
BEcause one day you'll realize,
It wasn't worth holding onto it.

Poetry [Just Like Glass]

You had my heart,
And it fell from your grasp,
It shattered just like glass,
It could never be repaired,
It could never be whole again,
And as you look for all the pieces,
Some smaller than the others,
Some smaller than a grain of sand,
And like glass,
Never to be whole,
Never be the same again,
Like an ornament it was,
When you were done,
You wouldn't care,
IT couldn't be fixed,
So you threw it out,
Just like the shards of broken glass...

Poetry [Tears]

The tears are a soul's essence,
With every tear dropped,
Another piece of yourself is lost,
Never to be regained,
THen when you finally rise,
Everything comes crashing down,
And you fall again,
This time it hurts even more,
Because another piece of you is gone,
Never to be regained,
Like the tears on the ground.

True To My Heart; a Love Story [Part Two]

PART TWO; TRUE TO MY HEART
--

GRace knew what to do now. She either had to let go, or give in. But the choice was what to do about it afterwards. She felt like she couldn't live without him, but she didnt want to get hurt again. She was going to give in...

Morning broke through the pale blue curtains and shone on the sleepy faces. Grace muttered a few curses and reluctantly woke up to see Kristy snoring. Grace wrinkled her nose and walked into the bathroom.

When she left the bathroom Kristy awoke and yawned. It was now eleven in the morning and the girl was STILL tired. Kristy shuffled to the bathroom and then locked the door. When Grace heard the click she grabbed her cell phone off the nightstand and scrolled through the text messages she had recieved in the past few days.

'I'm sorry' was what 78 of the 110 messages said.
'Forgive me?' was what 20 of the 110 messages read.
'Please?' was what the remaining 12 stated.

Grace rolled her eyes at the texts then the device vibrated with a new text.

'Plz forgive me... I'm rly sry...' the text read as Grace closed her eyes in thought. She had about four more minutes untill Kristy came out of the bathroom.

Her fingers flew over the keys and her reply was sent. Grace deleted all the text messages and then wondered what would happen next.

Soon after the text was sent, Jared's cell phone buzzed with the answer. And his heart started pounding... and sweat formed, then he pressed the button and the message opened...

The Love Bet: Part 10 ♥

The Love Bet; PArt 10
-IT was supposed to be iploaded yesterday but my gay internet wouldn't let me.... :o
---

'Seeing her once a day was how i got through school. She was like the sun, she was my world. I hate my friend at the moment... Why did he have to hurt her? Aw... dammit... i'm starting to tell you about my life again... You better be burning this after you're done with this!! You better or else you'll pay... yes... i know... empty threats... dam i miss her... okay... i'm going to shut up now... i hate you...'

MAriete bit into her sandwich as she flipped the page.

'Day four, or was it day five? without her... I wish she was still here... the stupid bet... all because of the stupid bet!! SHUT UP MR. HERMIT! I KNOW YOU'RE LAUGHING RIGHT NOW!! If you send me to the psychology freak person in the school you'll regret it!! ARGH!! I wanna just rip out all the pages and say my dog ate it. And i really have a dog so you can't do any shit about it! I don't even know WHY i'm writing this! I might as well jsut throw it out! Except it's worth 90% of my grade! WHY THE HELL 90%?!?!?! WHY NOT 20%? That way i can actually pass instead of fail this stupid ELA class. And do you know what else? You decided to donate twenty kids' projects to the library for the rest of the world to see. And you picked mine!! Of all the seventy kids you have you chose me!! I hate you!!!!'

MAriete stiffled some laughter as she read this. This boy was hilarious, at least, she assumed it was a boy. If it was a girl she'd freak at the fact that a possible bi-sexual or lesbian came to the school. She shook her head and finished off her sandwich then flipped to the following page.

'MAybe I'm overreacting at the loss of her. But I've moved on! I swear! I dated twelve oter girls in the past three weeks! Okay.. now i'm DEFINATLY revealing too much. Not my fault you cant get a date for life! If you're wondering where are the entries inbetween here and then, i ripped them out. They revealed too much, and since you're putting it into the library, I don't want anyone knowing who i am, hence why there is no name in here at all. You know i won.'

Mariete needed to do some serious research about this mysterious writer. Who could it be? And why did he rip out all the pages. Then Helena ran into the library screaming at Mariete. What did she want now?

The Love Bet: Part 9 ♥

THe Love Bet; PArt Nine
--

"Your brownies looks flat," Victor said dryly.
"And your brownies are harder than bricks," Mariete laughed as they tried each other's brownies.

THey left Culinary to find out that they had the same gym periods. MAriete and Victor parted ways to get to the locker room, and then was immediately swarmed by Helena.

"Ohmigosh," Helena squealed.
"Hey," Mariete greeted as she slipped out of her torn jeans and Juicy hoodie and slid her blue shorts and white shirt on. MAriete tied her hair into a ponytail and looked at Helena.
"You were talking to VICTOR! Ohmigosh, isn't he like the hawtest thing after DErrick?" Helena squealed.
"If you say so," MAriete grumbled at the dramatic change from her old friend.
"So what was your old school?"
"Two years ago, i came to a school near here, last year i was all the way on the other side of the continent," MAriete confessed.
"I see, c'mon, you don't want to be locked out of the gym," Helena giggled as she grabbed MAriete's hand and dragged her to the gym.

Helena jerked on MAriete's arm violently as they bound down the stairs to the gym. When they were down, some boys were shootign some baskets while the girls were giggling and pointing at the "hot" boys. MAriete rolled her eyes then started to stretch.

"Mariete, what are you doing?" Helena huffed.
"I'm stretching."
"Whatever in the world for?" Helena sighed.
"To play basketball," MAriete said it simply.
"Why?!!? You might break a nail!" Helena gasped.
"Eh... I cut them off yesterday," MAriete smirked as she got up from a stretch and walked towards the court.
"MARIETE!" Helena screeched as Mariete ignored her and walked up to Victor.
"Any room for one more?" Mariete smiled.
"You play?" Victor asked incredously.
"Not much," MAriete confessed.
"Well then let's go!" Victor smiled as he tossed her the ball.

AFter two thirds of third period past, MAriete jogged quickly to the locker room and showered quickly then changed back into her jeans and hoodie. MAriete bent down to tie the laces on her converses when Helena came up.

"What were you THINKING?!? Playing BASKETBALL?" Helena screeched.
"Mhmm..." Mariete mumbled as she tied her right shoe then her left.
"IT is utterly DISGUSTING!" Helena yelled.
"Who are you to make MY decisions?" MAriete snapped as she slung her backpack onto a shoulder.
"I am your FRIEND!" Helena yelled in disbelief.
"No, you were my friend, two years ago, and now, you've become a b---h! I can't believe you've changed so much," MAriete said sadly leaving a very confused Helena behind to put two and two together.

True To My Heart; a Love Story

Continuation to The Day You Went Away, kind of like an endlogue (according to batya it's epilogue but i don't care) story thing :o
--
Recap:
Kristy: Grace, you either have to let go, or forgive him, you love him, you can't let this slip away.
Grace: Then what do i do?
Kristy: THat's your choice, and I know that you'll make the right one.

All of this was the chaos you started. After the day you went away. After all those memories, after everything. IT hurt to see you gone. But i had to make my choice and I was going to make the right one. I was going to set everything straight.
--

Grace closed her eyes and then opened them again. She was confused and didn't know what to do. She blinked back the tears but they disobeyed her, they fell down like rain from the clouds. She didn't want to take the risk again... IT had hurt too much.

"Grace, don't forget... you both shared the bad times together and the good times. You have to listen to your heart, stay true to it, don't always try to find out the meaning of all his words, it hurts more..." Kristy whispered.
"Who knew that you would be the one comforting me?" Grace smiled.
"I have to, or else no one else would," Kristy giggled.
"But i don't know if i can find the room in my heart for him," Grace sighed.
"Let things run its course, forgive him, and just let the river flow," Kristy said.

Grace stared at the darkness. She had made her choice. She closed her eyes one last time and fell asleep, she was determined to do what was best for her life, she wasn't going to mess up again... It was time to force everything back onto the right path, starting with love...

The Love Bet: Part 8 ♥

The Love Bet; Part Eight
--

"Hey there," a voice called from behind Mariete as she spun the dial on her lock.
"Hm...? Hi?" MAriete greeted absently.
"So, what's up?" the guy continued.
"Use your eyes and see," MAriete shot as she tugged at the locker door.
"Too bad, all i see is you and your beauty," the boy tried.
"Flattery isn't getting anywhere," MAriete said as she rolled her eyes then gather some books into her bag.
"Well then why don't we go somewhere afterschool today," the boy said as Mariete turned to face him.
"Well, why don't you leave my sight and then kill yourself?" Mariete snapped.
"Because I love you too much?"
"Puh-lease! Who are you trying to fool? You are such a loser. Gawd! Get a life, because obviously you don't have one besides trying to pick up girls with a cheesy line or two! Grow up, those havent worked since the 1600's! So Derrick, if you think you're so cool and you want to date me so bad, then lower yourself to the others! You're a dirty scumbag who doesn't deserve any of the attention you get!" MAriete sneered as Derrick flinched then MAriete tossed her hair behind her back and walked away.

Mariete walked up to her class. She had to get to Culinary before she was late, it wasn't only on the highest floor, but it was also in a completely different wing as where her locker was. She scowled at the mocking grandfather clock and ran down the halls desperate to make it in time.

Mariete walked into the classroom and wiped her sweat away. She had ran from one wing to the other and up two hundred and twenty six steps. Mariete took a seat next to a boy. She didn't take the time to study his features.

"Too embarresed to look at my face?" the boy chuckled as MAriete whipped around to see Victor.
"Never," MAriete laughed as Victor smirked.
"Why are you so late?" Victor questioned.
"Ask your friend," Mariete snapped back as she remembered the incident.
"Run in with him?"
"Obviously," MAriete said as she rolled her eyes.
"What did you do?"
"Why don't you two discuss this in detention after school for the next two days?" Mr. Rezil smiled.
"Yes sir," the two grumbled as they started on the brownie batter [Yum~].

Mariete's face flushed pink as their hands brushed as they reached for the eggs. She hadn't expected it to feel this way. She could use Victor to make Derrick jealous. The plan was going to be soon. And MAriete was determined to make Derrick regret ever treating her that way...

Grace: Stop jumping on the bed, you're not five anymore!
Kristy: Live your life crazy -jumps up and down on the bed-
GRace: You won't have a life to live if you die! -glares-
Kristy: Party pooper -sighs as she gets down from bed-
Grace: Someone has to be mature considering the fact that you don't act your age.
Kristy: Just like you act like your 109 and is about to die in twoo-te seconds.
Grace: what the hell is two-tey? -confused-
Kristy: I dunno. -shrugs-
GRace: You're sooo stupid.
Kristy: Why... thank you -winks-
Grace: -throws pillow at Kristy- It's time to go to bed.
Kristy: Do you regret breaking up with him? -gets ready to sleep-
Grace: Life's too short too regret.
Kristy: Life's too long for you to be lonely.
GRace: Life's too short to look at everything.
Kristy: Which is exactly why you have to live your life to the fullest and experience as much as you can.
Grace: When did you become old and wise?
Kristy: When you started to breathe!
Grace: I'm younger than you...
Kristy: Same difference.
Grace: Do you even know what that means?
Kristy: No, you wanna tell me?
Grace: Just go to sleep -turns out the lights-

V.M.: Hi. This is Grace,if this is Jared hang up right now, if this is KRisty press 2 and leave a message if this is the rest of the world press 3 and leave a message. Sorry that I'm busy and can't get to the phone... I'll get back to you as soon as possible. F.Y.I. Jared: We are permenantly OVER!

Jared: Why did you call me and lie? You know that I still miss you? I;m sorry for everything. I fell in love with you in the end, but you haven't forgiven me. Please just forgive me, give me this one last try. I promise you that we can be happy, we can be back to normal. -sobs a little- I feel so lost without you, it was like you were the sun to my moon, and are the the world to me. Please just forgive me... Please....?

--

I wanted to cry when i heard th emessage. IT hurt so much to know that he loved me. I didn't want to risk being hurt again. But what was life without a little risk? What was life about? I closed my eyes and blinked back the tears. I was so torn apart. MAybe Kristy was right. I needed to stop and smell the roses for once. I was always in a rush, never slowing down. Life hurts.

Kristy: Grace, are you still awake?
Grace: -pretends to sleep-
Kristy: Grace?
Grace: -Ignores Kristy-
Kristy: Forgive him Grace, if that's what you want... Listen to your heart for once, not your brain. It's a risk you'll have to take.
Grace: -cries a little- I'm so confused.
Kristy: I know...
Grace: What am i supposed to do?!?
Kristy: Live your life crazy, and love every second of it.
Grace: I miss him...
Kristy: Then forgive him.
Grace: But I'm afraid...
Kristy: Life isn't a fairytale, you have to learn to make mistakes. Things dont always end with happily ever after. A friend once told me to grow up, but yet i find myself asking myself, has she grown up yet? Or is it all a mask?
Grace: I know I can always trust you...

The Day You Went Away: Over.

The end (for real)

The Love Bet: Part 7 ♥

The Love Bet; Part 7

'MR. Hermit, you better be faking that you're reading this because I've already said more than i should. I hate you for giving us this assignment.

Do you think she notices me though? I mean like, you're old and all, but you should have some experience, unless you were ugly looking when you were younger too. You must have dated a few times, so do you think she notices me? She started to let her hair down around him, and wear contacts. It makes her looks so different, if only she knew the truth. I'd tell you, Mr. Hermit, about it, but it is against the rules, and I still hate you,' the boy wrote as he had a dreamy far off look on his face. He hated the assignment, and he was admitting that he liked her. He closed the diary and chucked it into his bag.

Mariete walked slowly, trailing behind Helena jsut so Helena would see some of the tears that trickled down her face. 'Why is she so oblivious?' MAriete wondered. 'All the hins she needs are right there.' Then they walked into the office.

The office was sleek and high tech, a black leather couch leaned against the wall and in front of it a glass table. A smooth black table with a desktop on it was powered on. There was a white bookcase lined with books, and there were fern plants in serveral corners of the room. A beige carpet lined the area between the glass table and the desk. The principal tied her red hair back and sat at the leather chair at the table.

"Why were you cutting class?" the principal questioned.
"I didn't wanna go to class," Helena shrugged.
"I got lost," Mariete mumbled.
"Helena, you will be suspended or even worse, expelled, if you keep cutting classes, as for you Ms.-" the principal started.
"I'm Mariete Welsh," MAriete offered.
"Ms. Welsh, i never want to see you in hallways after the late bell ringsever again. Helena you have detention with me for the next three weeks," the prinicpal said coldly as she pushed up the big black glasses.
"Yes Principal Harpy," MAriete sighed.
"Whatever," Helena snorted as she slouched a bit more and rolled her eyes.

The Next Day...

"Sometimes, out my window,
I noticed that you've been crying over him,
And i wonder,
Why you just don't,
Kick him to the curb instead of giving in,
You say,
Love at first is summertime,
that's when that everything's fine,
no one ever thinks that it's gonna end,
When things go wrong,
And winter comes,
You're gonna need to run to someone,
Left alone you'll just freeze up again,
Well you should know,
When it gets too cold,
You're not alone,
I'll melt the snow," a voice sang as Mariete walked down the halls early in the morning to hide in the library before classes started.

Mariete wondered about the music and turned around slowly. She followed the sound of the music and turned a corner to hear the music come from the band room. She opened the door a tiny bit just so she could see who was there. As she squinted to see, she couldn't make out the figure there. She opened the door a tiny bit more.

"IS there someone at the door?" a voice asked.

MAriete turned on her white converse hightops and ran. She fled to the library where she scrambled up the ladder to read the diaries. She had read a few more entries of this person's diary after school. She was intrigued. Who could this mystery girl be? And why couldn't he say what he wanted to say?

'This diary thing sucks, didn't you know that?'

That was the end of an entry. MAriete glanced at the date and noticed the date for the first time. The date on it was the day after she left. THe diaries must've beem there for about a year, or so. THe diaries must've been from MR. Hermit's ELA class. MAriete had Ms. Gameze for ELA in that year. She closed the book shut and checked her watch. There was twenty more minutes. MAriete grabbed her bag and started to leave the library and towards her locker.
